Good Tex-Mex Food in Waco

Ninfa's food was good and the service was awesome. We were in Waco for a convention and decided to walk across the street for lunch...they had not been told there was a large meeting at the convention center and were not prepared but you wouldn't know this based on the service (I talked to the... read more

We came to Texas from Florida for a college visit and hoped to find excellent Tex-Mex. This wasn't it. Average tamales, enchiladas and tacos. We have food this average in Florida.

The atmosphere is wonderful, and nicely laid out, but it seems like since it's downtown, and so close to Baylor, their prices are a bit high. I paid $20 for a piece of baked chicken smothered in what seemed to be 2 onions that had been sliced and grilled to help fill the empty plate.

I came here with a giant (30+) group during an interview for school. The service was slow, but the restaurant was packed and we were with such a huge group I consider that slow would come with the meal. I got the pork carnitas. The meat was very tender and juicy. The chips and salsa that came with it were... More

In town on business and without a car this awsome place was within walking distance of the Hilton. Sat in the Bar area and the service was fantastic, Eric knew the menu and could fix a very good drink. Food was hot and very full of flavor.

I can't for the life of me understand why people seem to like this place. I've been here at least a dozen times and the service is always completely miserable. I've had to get my intended dine-in food to-go twice (once because it didn't arrive with the rest of the table's food and everyone else was done by the time... More

Visited with my wife and parents following the Lady Bears basketball game versus Kansas on superbowl sunday. I used to visit Ninfa's on a pretty regular basis when I was working in downtown Waco years ago. I love to visit whenever possible. They have a great atmosphere located in a converted downtown warehouse. We love the chips and salsa as... More

This restaurant was horrible. We visited on Friday, Dec. 5 2014 and probably should have left when I noticed that one of the managers was too busy flirting with the hostesses than watching over the dinning room like he should have. It took over 45 minutes to get seated and then we sat there another 5 plus minutes before anyone... More

This is my favorite Mexican food restaurant in Waco. We do have some very good smaller restaurants, Ninfa's is best over-all. Good food, good selection, good margaritas. What more can you ask! It is not the best place to go to have a quiet visit over dinner. Quite noisy. The wine selection is OK. But why would you want wine!?!... More
