A Gem of Waco

Bangkok Royal is perfect for lunch or dinner. They can adjust the heat perfectly to your taste. The Bangkok Cashew Chicken as hot as they can make it is my personal favorite. Good, fresh, food takes time, so don't go expecting to get in and out in a hurry. But it is worth the wait!

The food here is always wonderful. Perfectly seasoned and sauced, from appetizers to entrees to dessert and Thai iced tea, I have always enjoyed what I've had from the menu. Great variety, they have offerings that will suit even the pickiest diner. Atmosphere is calming and beautiful, and the server was so on the ball that we never had to... More

3rd time here. Food is great but the service is horrible. We didn't get greeted in and our menus were thrown down on the table. They gave us water and didn't ask if we wanted something else. The guy who took our order didn't say a word just stood there and waited for us to tell him what we wanted.... More

Had a nice lunch today and was served quickly. The Green Curry was good although the portion was small. The prices seem a little high for a lunch portion. My main complaint is the impersonal almost unfriendly service. There was no attempt to check back on our table. No check, we're just supposed to know to go to the register.... More

I can't tell you exactly why Royal Thai hasn't become my favorite place in Waco, except they dont have a beer and wine license yet, which means tea, they are a little pricier than Clay Pot or Kitok, but they are right in the middle of downtown. I will say it is cleaner, newer, nicer than the others I named.... More

It was good to get back to this excellent Thai restaurant. Although some have mentioned that this is not a place to go if you are in a rush, we had excellent, attentive service. A great place to try so many good things especially if you are comfortable sharing different items.Especially like the glass noodle salad and the Panang curry.... More

I love the food here. It's very fresh and very delicious. My favorite is the Bangkok Cashew but everything I've had has been good. Others have mentioned, but I'll say it again. Don't go here in a hurry. Just relax (they have a very relaxing atmosphere) and take your time. You are getting out of here in a rush, so... More

The food at Bangkok Royal is delicious. Have been in Waco for 5 days and have eaten at B/R 2 times. NOTE: Ginger chicken soup and salad with peanut dressing , made the way it is at this restaurant , are 2 Thai dishes that I had never had before. We ordered Green Curry, Bangkok Chicken with pineapple and sweet... More

We were attending a conference across the road at the Hilton, and my friend is nuts for Thai food. I ordered Pad Thai, and it was just delicious. I'm pretty picky about what tastes good, and believe me, it was heavenly. My friends loved their food as well. I tasted the curry - so different from Indian curry - and... More
