One of my favorite in town

This is one of my favorite Chinese places in town. They always take the water chess nuts out of anything I order. Food comes out hot. Family run they recognize customers. Super busy at lunch but not so at night. Easy place to go with out a wait for good food on weekends !

Wasn't too impressed with the food. It was decent but have had much better. The chicken in the chicken lo mein was bland. But they did give heaping portions. No alcohol available, it seems they lost their liquor license. The reason I thought it would have been better was because when we walked in there was rather large table of... More

Cathay House has quality food and always comes out hot. They will work with you if you don't care for some ingredients or want added ingredients in a dish. Prices are very reasonable and owners are on the premises. The dad is a super chef. I also like the quiet ambiance of the restaurant.

Credit where credit is due...potstickers are made while you wait and are the best we have had! Crispies were stale, and too much breading around small brown mystery chicken meat. Avoid on Sunday or experience mean rude apparently starving after church crowds with wild eyes lunging at the buffet (only on Sundays).

I returned to Cathay House after a 15 year absence and found it to be less flavorful than I remembered. This could be just a change in taste rather than any change to the restaurant itself. The atmosphere was fine. The food was good, but not exceptional. Service was good.

My wife and I eat here weekly and the food is consistently good. The chicken rice soup is such a comfort food that we can't imagine eating here without it. Service is efficient, music is background and muted, decor is getting a little old but is still appropriate for the surroundings.

I don't find Oriental food to be my favorite but if I am going to eat that type of food this is the only place to go. The food is always consistent and palatable.

This is pretty much your standard Chinese restaurant. We were hoping to find that unique restaurant that serves up food in it's own style but found that it's the same as all the other 'cut & past' Chinese food.
