WELL WORTH FINDING

One of the best Italian food restaurants in Waco. Not big or fancy but great food for Italian food lovers. Pizza is best in Waco also. One recommendation though is that they need to remove the tails from their shrimp, not good to bite down on if eating a dinner that has shrimp in it.

My wife and I travel to Italy frequently and are always looking for good Italian restaurants stateside. Outside of NYC, we don't find many that are worthwhile, and Baris, though its prices are very reasonable and the service was very good did not meet our expectations of a good stateside Italian restaurant. I had a good pizza, but the pasta... More

We had the lunch special for the day that we were there. For $5.50 you got a salad, garlic bread and 3 types of pasta. One was lasagna, and another was cannelloni. I forget what the third one was. All of the pasta came under a layer of marinara sauce and melted cheese. I'm not sure that I could tell... More

Baris is a local restaurant that I go to at least once a month. Everything here is delicious, and I am rarely disappointed. One of their signature dishes is their Tortellini with Pink Sauce, and now that I have tried it, I never order anything else. Each time my parents come to town, my dad wants to go to Baris... More

My husband and I heard this place was good so we decided to go for dinner on night, it's was a little crowed but we were seated as soon as we walked in. Our waiter was a little out of it granted the restaurant was full so I could understand if he was under stress. I ordered the Tortellini Alfredo... More

I asked a barista by Baylor University for a mom and pop type of Italian Food place. He very quickly recommended Baris. Once we got there, we found parking very tight, as it was early evening, about 7:30. Neighboring businesses allow parking when they are closed. The restaurant was pretty packed, only 2 or 3 tables open. Waiter said it... More

... Baris is just "okay" until you find "your meal." I feel like every one has this experience, and then it happens, and Baris is like the best food ever. Mine is the Florentine with Shrimp and Alfredo sauce. It is the best shrimp I've ever had at an Italian restaurant. Their bread is delicious, the salad is just iceberg... More

When we lived in Flower Mound, Tx we ate at the Baris there on a monthly basis. Imagine our delight at finding Baris III here. We did early dinner and had the large Baris salad (lettuce, red cabbage, black olives, grated mozzarella and homemade red dressing. Mmmmm...just like we used to enjoy.) Hubby had the senior portion of chicken parm,... More

We live in the DFW area and were down for a sporting event. Found this place on Trip Advisor. My goodness they knock it out of the park. Nothing fancy about the place but it is bustling because the food is SO GOOD. Two wait staff we encountered were both spot on. Very friendly and attentive, all while the place... More
