This an amazing place to eat in Waco. The staff is friendly and the food delicious. Much of the food is raised right on the farm. We took the hay ride and walked all over to see the little shops. We will be back to take several of their numerous classes!

Whether you're in or around Waco, or just passing through, any detour you may take, let it lead you to this amazing eatery of supremely homemade eats. Found thanks to TripAdvisor, and it really deserves the number one spot. We each ordered a different dish, four in total, and after we all tasted our own and were astounded by each... More

The family was driving from Dallas to Austin and decided to stop for lunch in Waco. Not wanting to eat at the same humdrum place, I took a chance on Cafe Homestead based on earlier TripAdvisor ratings. We were pleasantly surprised with the friendly staff and the delicious food. I had the Ruben, my husband had the burger, and son... More

Wife and I were chasing Aladdin Lamp parts down at the Homestead General Store near Waco. Decided to grab a quick lunch at their nearby Homestead Cafe. What a discovery! Two of the best Ruben and Pastrami Sandwiches on this planet. Everything!.......We mean everything was home-made and/or home-grown. ......marbled-rye and yeast bread, meat, potato salad, chips, sweet potato fries. Bread... More

I got chocolate pecan pie. Wife & daughter got apple crumb pie. It was still warm. The whole experience was wonderful. We will be going back on... More

My wife and I had not visited the Cafe Heritage for over 9 years but decided to re-visit some places in Waco. The food was outstanding. They had 2 different types of soups and each were absolutely excellent in flavor and consistency. I had the simple cheeseburger and fries - and it was one of the best I had in... More

We were there 12/12/14 with my coworkers for our Christmas luncheon. I was really impressed with the food, it was AWESOME! And the desserts were also amazing.

Went here while in Waco and loved it. The inside of the restaurant looked like a lodge lots of wood and beams across the ceiling, very clean but rustic. Nice fireplace in focal point of room. My hubby had a Reuben sandwich which he said was amazing and a sweet potato soup that he said was out of this world.... More

This restaurant is amazing. It is quaint and beautiful, and has fresh, delicious food. The prices are reasonable. If you go to Waco, this is a must-do. You absolutely do not want to miss this place. Bring your camera, because you can get some beautiful pictures. Also, there are many little shops around in the Homestead that you won't want... More
