The food was very fresh and delicious. We had the cheese platter, chips and salsa, the queso burger, and several desserts. Every item was fantastic. The staff was efficient and courteous. I recommend calling ahead for reservations, we waited over an hour and a half. It was interesting to walk the grounds and visit all of the artisans.

This restaurant at the Mennonite community is excellent, with imaginative offerings and seasonal, local ingredients. My husband and I have been talking about making another trip to the Waco area just to eat here.

Delicious! The food is fresh, organic and locally sourced and grown. They bake their own bread, and make their own ice cream and cheese. Prices are reasonable. I enjoyed the Santa Fe Chicken Salad and my friend had the Turkey Veggie Wrap. We also shared a Peanut Butter Pie. Yummy! Very enjoyable experience.

The entire Homestead Heritage "village" is a gem of a collection of beautiful handmade crafts. The cafe reflects that care, as well. Don't order the falafel sandwich, but try the hamburgers, ice cream, and French fries. Yum!

Beautiful and rustic surroundings, along with fresh, wholesome and delicious food make the Cafe Homestead the ideal spot to enjoy a leisurely meal with someone special. Be sure to make time to stroll through the huge barn where local artisan treasures of all sorts can be found. Add in the beauty of the rest of the property, this is a... More

Enjoyed great sandwiches on fresh bread, endless ice tea and the smiling face of our server while we took a break from touring the Homestead. These people are clear on their focus and take true craftsmanship to heart in all they do.

Beautiful area with restaurant, pottery shop, woodworking shop, and gift shop all in one area. Happened to find this restaurant on my tripadvisor app looking for a good restaurant I had never tried before. I went on a Saturday afternoon and there was an hour wait. You can sit on the front porch and wait or you can go to... More

Their Jalapéno Sweet Potato Soup with a side of Sweet Potato Fries is the perfect light lunch! If I'm feeling a bit more substantial, their sandwiches and hamburgers are made to perfection. Combine this great food with an atmosphere of peace and cleanliness and you have the Café. Far and away my favorite place to eat out.

A lovely place to visit. We explored the shops - cheese, pottery, woodworking, and then stopped in Cafe Homestead to eat. The food was delicious. Our crew loved the sweet potato soup, sandwiches and quesadilla. We visited on a weekday for an early lunch and the small restaurant was filling up fast by the time we left. Will visit again...
