Enjoyable food and atmosphere

Enjoyed great sandwiches on fresh bread, endless ice tea and the smiling face of our server while we took a break from touring the Homestead. These people are clear on their focus and take true craftsmanship to heart in all they do.

Beautiful area with restaurant, pottery shop, woodworking shop, and gift shop all in one area. Happened to find this restaurant on my tripadvisor app looking for a good restaurant I had never tried before. I went on a Saturday afternoon and there was an hour wait. You can sit on the front porch and wait or you can go to... More

Their Jalapéno Sweet Potato Soup with a side of Sweet Potato Fries is the perfect light lunch! If I'm feeling a bit more substantial, their sandwiches and hamburgers are made to perfection. Combine this great food with an atmosphere of peace and cleanliness and you have the Café. Far and away my favorite place to eat out.

A lovely place to visit. We explored the shops - cheese, pottery, woodworking, and then stopped in Cafe Homestead to eat. The food was delicious. Our crew loved the sweet potato soup, sandwiches and quesadilla. We visited on a weekday for an early lunch and the small restaurant was filling up fast by the time we left. Will visit again... My husband and I were in Waco for a race and were looking for a quality traditional breakfast. This place is a treasure! Natural ingredients, delicious preparation, and satisfying servings. The coffee, pancakes, hash browns, turkey bacon, and eggs were OUTSTANDING. I ventured to have their Mediterranean breakfast and only wish I could find that type of breakfast in San... More

After reading the reviews we were excited to try cafe Homestead. It is an "experience" location with old fashion shops and beautiful grounds. The wait staff were very courteous. I would rate our meals as good. I had the sweet potato jalapeño soup and it is quite dense. The one cup filled up me and my 18 year old daughter.... More

First off, the staff were incredible! Smiling and cheerful. The food.... AMAZING! Best queso hands down! The ginormous burgers were super juicy and had tons of flavor. Can't wait to go back! Thank you for a great experience and friendly service!

I have been visiting the cafe. I have tried different foods, all are so good, healthy and delicious even when I ask for some changes, they never fail. You can visit the shops while you wait for your table. Well worth it 😃

Take a step back into time, see what it was like to live in the late 1700's and early 1800's, this is the place. All of the women wear the long skirts and have their hair done up in a bun, long sleeve white blouse. Men wear regular clothing from this era, but very plain. All of the crafts are... More

Always find the quality to be great, not inexpensive, & certainly never quick. Environment is good, folks are always friendly & seem to enjoy what they do.
