A charming resaurant situated in the middle of a very interesting craft village. The folks are very friendly and helpful. Horse drawn hay rides are available on Saturdays. Famous farm to table meals are given on occasion.

My son, who is a student at Baylor, has regularly told us that Cafe Homestead is one of his favorites, but this is first time my wife and I had the opportunity to join him. All I can do is echo what has been written in most of the other reviews, which is the food is excellent, the service outstanding,... More

This was one of the best meals I have had in a long time. My friends and I all got different dishes and then shared with each other so we could taste several items on the menu. Each dish was well prepared and seasoned perfectly. The best part was how fresh everything was. My best recommendation to anyone wanting to... More

The food is outstanding! The service, people and atmosphere were great as well. We had queso, guac and salsa for an appetizer;great! Some of us had burgers which were delicious. Others had pastrami which was delicious!! The hayride was interesting and gave a little information about the people who live there. Certainly better than driving into Waco and eating at... More

This an amazing place to eat in Waco. The staff is friendly and the food delicious. Much of the food is raised right on the farm. We took the hay ride and walked all over to see the little shops. We will be back to take several of their numerous classes!

Whether you're in or around Waco, or just passing through, any detour you may take, let it lead you to this amazing eatery of supremely homemade eats. Found thanks to TripAdvisor, and it really deserves the number one spot. We each ordered a different dish, four in total, and after we all tasted our own and were astounded by each... More

The family was driving from Dallas to Austin and decided to stop for lunch in Waco. Not wanting to eat at the same humdrum place, I took a chance on Cafe Homestead based on earlier TripAdvisor ratings. We were pleasantly surprised with the friendly staff and the delicious food. I had the Ruben, my husband had the burger, and son... More

Wife and I were chasing Aladdin Lamp parts down at the Homestead General Store near Waco. Decided to grab a quick lunch at their nearby Homestead Cafe. What a discovery! Two of the best Ruben and Pastrami Sandwiches on this planet. Everything!.......We mean everything was home-made and/or home-grown. ......marbled-rye and yeast bread, meat, potato salad, chips, sweet potato fries. Bread... More
