fun local spot

This place is so fun! Clearly an old gas station, there is ample space to sit under the shade and enjoy the delicious custard creations. It is a local favorite with good reason!

The service was pretty quick and the staff was nice, but I wasn't that impressed. I had the Key Lime. It wasn't very tart, and didn't have a very distinct lime flavor. Disappointing. It was too hot to sit on the benches outside (there is no indoor seating)so we sat in the car with the A/C on so the custard... More

Katie's is just what the doctor ordered after a hard days work on a late summer evening. This is an outdoor only place so be prepared to sit on the benches or tables under the shade cover of what used to be a gas station at an earlier time. We had one chocolate and one butter pecan cone. The custard... More

If Katie's is open, their will be a line, but worth it. They have all the traditional fares (hot fudge sundaes, banana splits, etc), but the best is getting a medium cup and having them mix in your favorites.

So glad we stopped here during our visit to Waco. We ordered mint chocolate, coffee toffee, caramel pretzel and dirt and worms cyclones. Every bite of them all were eaten. Delicious!

We like deserts, but try to watch our in-take. But hey you only live once, right? Katie's Frozen Custard is a great place to stop, enjoy the outdoors under the patio covered area and picnic tables. Very Family Friendly and talk about Fast Food, Cold Drinks... They have it all including handmade flavors of whatever you can ask for in... More

Just vanilla and chocolate in a fairly plain cone. But very tasty, solid vanilla and chocolate flavors. Crowded but line moves fast.

Delicious custard! It is a little pricey, but perfect for an occasional treat. My kids loved the whoa whoa burgers, too. Perfect size for little ones.

$28 for three kids and two adults . Everyone ordered small custards with minimal toppings. Not impressed with the portions for the money. Staff was unfriendly and didn't want to answer any questions about their products.

My wife and I stopped here twice during our weeklong stay in Waco. They have some of the absolute best frozen custard we have ever tasted. I have to agree that their prices are pretty steep but their custard is wonderful.
