Yep, another chain, doesn't have ton's of offerings, but the flavor... so good! Best I've had in Waco so far, (although my favorite Rudy's will always be in Round Rock because their breakfast taco's are better) but I still have lots of places in Waco to try. Their brisket, sausage, potato salad, heck, even the sauce is perfect! If it... More

Rudy's meat is incredible. Very little fat, no "gristle", and it melts in your mouth. Want to feel like you have died and gone to BBQ Heaven? Douse it in their Rudy's Sauce. I wish it came in a tiny bottle so that I could take it with me everywhere. This sauce is the perfect blend of heat and flavor.... More

Living in Austin has its perks, including several Rudy's to select from. I've been to several in Austin (multiple times, of course), but have stopped at the Waco Rudy's a couple of times on trips to up to Dallas. The atmosphere is similar (although the servers aren't nearly as vocal and "fun") and the food is similar, but there's just... More

Went here with the extended family; and it was a great place for sitting with a group and having a good "catch up" chat. The food was barely okay. My meat had a lingering taste of something like Diesel Gasoline smells. The meat portion in my stuffed potato was stingy at best; there was not enough meat to mix in... More

I was in Waco on May 20-21 on business. My client recommended Rudy's for lunch. We had about a dozen people, and ordered a variety of food - brisket, pulled pork, ribs, cole slaw, beans, potatoes, sausage, and more. The sissy barbecue sauce was average, but the slightly hotter sauce was excellent. I tried everything, and there wasn't a bad... More

Depending on which of the Bar B Q items you pick, you might or might not enjoy your meal. My opinion, I don't like their sausage and their brisket at best is average. But based on the crowd, someone seems to like it.

Great service. If you are new, they explain the menu patiently, and they give you food samples. The food has great taste and is a typical country/Texan style.

Cafeteria style place where you snake through a line an order in 1/2 pound sizes of different meats. They provide samples if you are unsure. I went with the brisket, which was super moist and flavorful and was great when topped with their supplied sauces.

While in Waco I asked around to see if they had any good BBQ here. Several people recommended Rudy's. Walked in and was surprised and a little disappointed to see it was a chain restaurant. However, we were hungry so decided to stay and give it a try. I should preface this review by saying that I am Pitmaster with... More
