Old Tradition

The place is the historical restaurant. Foods are great as country simply foods. People are friendly and met Deaf employer who works there. That's awesome!

Fresh meat, fresh vegetables, fresh bread! The best lunch we had while in Texas for six days! The service is very competent and friendly. Wish, we could come back again, and again.

Located in the center of old downtown in a restored 1800s building, this "oldest delicatessen in Texas" was founded in the 1880s by an Italian family. The building is interesting and the service at a table (no ordering at the counter) is very efficient and friendly. Prices are very reasonable. While not a full deli (e.g. no pastrami), all the... Fossati's makes a Tuna Melt and a Chicken Melt that are to die for. The sandwwiches are just fabulous. The wait staff is so friendly and the "old" atmosphere is fin.

Native Victorian and have ate here for decades. Always find something new to enjoy. Food dependable. Friendly environment. Nostalgic. Great place to take folks interested in culture - especially non-Texans or Americans :)

This was one of the best places I've ever eaten. Excellent Frank Napolean sandwich, fresh bread, wonderful meat and cheese, Kite plate was awesome! Very friendly wait staff, everyone seemed to know everyone, little kid birthday party going on in the back. Definitely stop at Fossati's if you are in the area. It will be a little taste of heaven.... More

It is located in downtown Victoria. It is the oldest deli in Texas! They serve a simple menu. Sandwiches and soups. I love their chicken salad sandwich with kettle chips and a pickle.

Fossati's is the oldest deli in Texas and one of the oldest restaurants in the USA. Seemed like a good bet for lunch on our way through Victoria TX.. The service was horrible; it was probably some of the worst service in a restaurant I have ever had. I think the waitress forgot to put in our order though she... More

Chef salad is great, fresh ingredients. Love that they will deliver downtown area when you don't have time to leave for lunch. The daily specials are always good! The Pita club is amazing but plan on splitting it, its HUGE!
