The food was average. The staff at the counter was very unprofessional, bickering back and forth, and slow. There were no clean tables in the place. Every one of them had food/trays on them. A/C ducts were dripping water on the tables and on the salad bar area. Overall not a good experience.

Tried this as a quick stop for dinner while we traveled, conveniently located right off the highway. It was good BBQ and ribs!

Visited the location in Van. Double -barrel loaded potato with pulled pork was good, as was the sliced brisket sandwich with fries. Cute "Texas" theme inside, clean restaurant. Highly recommend the sweet tea! Will be back!

We stopped here on a Sunday afternoon about 3:00. Obviously not the lunch hour but we were in the area to drop off kids at a summer camp and had not had lunch so decided to give it a try. The restaurant was more that half full of patrons which I thought was a good sign especially in the middle... More

We really did have soul food. There are lots of choices for side dishes. The cooked cabbage and fried okra were yummy. In our group we had ham, turkey, ribs, and brisket and they were all good.

I came in a large group from a bus and they gave us a deal on the food. They handled the crowd well and I was impressed that they cut the meat in front of you. Great restaurant!

I am from KC, so I like to think i have a pretty good taste for well smoked BBQ. This place has it. I had a half rack of ribs (which was actually 2/3rd's of a slab) . They were served with sauce on the side. The meet was tender and quite moist, but not fall off the bone tender... More

Service is excellent...helpful, smiling. Ribs are sensational! Juicy with the best tasting sauce. Huge helping, we shared one plate which cost $15. Don't go past this truck stop if you love a genuine Texan BBQ.

Sorry, just not anything like I thought it would be...mediocre at best! Brisket, super dry , overcooked., not up to par. Sausage was good! Macaroni, super watery, my husband did not (could not) finish it. Beans, boring! Green beans, from the can. Best thing, creamed corm and banana pudding. Cute atmosphere , however we won't be back! Still looking for... More
