Read on trip advisor and was looking for Mexican food. The first two that were recommended were closed so this was the third place we picked. The place was packed and our service was quick. I had combo plate with chalupa, fajita taco, beans and rice. Great! My daughter had enchilada plate. The enchiladas are wrapped in the orange-red corn... More

Ate here last night because I wanted to try Mexican food that was closer to the border. I ordered the Crispy Tacos combo. The tacos were very tasty. The meat was seasoned well, and had a unique taste to it...not that Taco Cabana standardized taste. The tacos were very crispy and seemed homemade. The meal was very reasonable priced, around... Authentic Mexician food with a varied menu. Find something you like and the next time you go, the taste is always the same. Service is great.

I have had better Mexican food. This place is well located for those traveling north out of Uvalde. Drinks could be fresher. Caldo is excellent.

Went to Herradero de Jalisco based on the trip advisor rating for #2 restaurant, and I wanted good Mexican food. It has a very small parking lot, and entrance into restaurant is a "please seat yourself" sign. There is plenty of seating; tables and booths. My daughter loves queso, so when ordering our drinks we asked for queso. The waitress... More

On a long RV road trip with the family, lunch time hit as we passed through Uvalde. A search of Tripadvisor and Yelp directed us here...great move! Here's why: Herradero de Jalisco is right on US90 but is easy to miss...keep a sharp eye out... It was near noon and we stepped into a nearly packed dining room. The crowd... More

Worst carne asada I have ever had. The meat was dry, tough and tasteless, the rice was barely passable, the beans were decent, and the tortillas were tough. Over all the meal was a huge disappointment. The only positive thing about the whole experience was the fantastic service.

Awesome food, authentic, full of flavor, cactus is great with carne asada. Breakfast is also #1. Try the lemonade it's the best! We have had the enchiladas, shrimp cocktail, torts, tostadas etc....oh yeah the crispy tacos are really good , can't have just one.

When in Uvalde, make sure to stop in here! We ordered the green enchiladas and fajitas rancheros and both dishes we so good! Quick, friendly service, great prices, and did I mention the delicious food?! Our only compliant: the restaurant is 5 hours from our house!
