This place is quiet and a place for couples. I wouldn't bring my kids. The prices are on the higher end and the food is okay. It's really dark and I think that's so you can't see the updates that are needed. Needs a total remodel. Has a lot of potential.

While this restaurant is a bit hard to find, being nestled behind Traditions and in the corner of a small strip mall area, it is worth the search. While dress-up is not required I noticed a number of the guests wore dinner clothes. Maybe it's because the clothes are needed to do the meal justice. The food is great, but... More

The décor reminds of a old European restaurant The owner ,Bernard is from France and brings the flavors of of Europe with fresh ingredients from the new world. I have eaten at Bernard's many times over the last ten years and always look forward to my next business trip to Tyler to once again enjoy the Mediterranen cusine.

Visiting Bernard's for the first time, we took the waiter's suggestion and ordered the daily specials, Chilean sea bass for my wife and a bone-in rib-eye for me. The sea bass was excellent, but the steak was tough and nearly uneatable. Being with friends I declined to send it back and ate what I could. The real shock came with... More

A bit awkward entering the restaurant as there's not really a lobby but once seated everything was excellent. We had the Salmon Fume as an appetizer which was wonderful. I had the Sea Scallops and my date had the Veal Picatta both of which were great. The service was attentive but not intrusive. The bill for the appetizer, 2 entrees... More

My boyfriend brought me here for my birthday dinner. It was the perfect setting for a romantic mood. The Naked Brie was delicious as was our entrees. The service was attentive. This is a great little place off of Broadway.

If you appreciate fresh whole food, this is the only place in town to go. It has a reputation of being the most expensive, however, that is false. I have gone to chains and other places in town and compared prices. Bernard's is the most reasonable for what you get. Salad and sides ARE included with the meal. The portions... More
