Beautiful family owned restaurant

Villa Montez is a much loved local restaurant. I have been going for more than 4 years and find both the food and service to be outstanding. The Latin American inspired dishes are prepared from recipes that have been passed down through the Villapudua family for generations. I truly believe... read more

I truly believe Great Grandma Villapudua might be in the kitchen orchestrating the... More

We didn't know if they took reservations so was a walk in early in the evening before 5:30 on a Saturday. I had read all the glowing reviews about how romantic it is. We walked in and asked for the terrace. No, it was closed. Ok, the main floor since the reviews I had read said don't go down into... More

This is a frequent stop for date night for my husband and I. The atmosphere is great, the staff is fantastic and the food is too die for!

This is our favorite date restaurant. The atmosphere is ideal, whether you eat outside or in. I have always gotten exceptional service. Just be warned this is not the typical Mexican food restaurant. The food we get is unique, and served with the visually appealing flair that would lead you to suspect much higher prices than what you end up... More

At first it looks like you are going to someone house, in fact it was a house turn in to a restaurant. The website says business attire strictly enforced but it is not and that is ok. The waiters are all wearing jeans so you're not sure who is the servers at first. I dressed nice but I was the... More

I have eaten here twice. The food is ok, but not really good Mexican food. Love the decor and the deck is nice. If the food was as good as the ambience, this could be a 4 or 5 star restaurant.

Visiting from LA dinner for four exceptional . Best "Latin" meal ever Unique use of multiple herbs created the best osso Bucco, carnitas tostada, Cilantro chicken, and delightfully light spinach artichoke garlic dip I have experienced. The Brazilian coconut chicken soup was brilliant. Wonderful young team waiters were a breath of fresh air lovely setting old mansion on beautifullyfoliaged grounds... More

This is a great little restaurant that is up on a little hill overlooking a nicely wooded area. The menu not only Spanish but also a good selection of meats, seafoods, etc. If I could sum it up quickly it is that the decor is very good and the service is also. The only problem we had was the wait.... More

This is a nice place to relax and enjoy lunch or dinner. The old restored home makes a lovely setting if dining indoors or on the patio in nice weather. The menu is varied with a selection of tasty dishes. Prices are reasonable especially for lunch.

This is an incredible dining experience in East Texas that can compare with any in the U.S.! The menu features a unique style of cuisine that can be described as Latino, but that does not do it justice. They offer a large variety of cocktails, beers, and some very interesting wines along with nightly specials that are moderately priced.
