This place is just so so. Wouldn't be a place I was dying to go back and eat at nor would I recommend it. They try to make it somewhat fancy but it's not... There are much nicer places in Tyler with food that far exceeds this place. I think it's more of a lunch type place. Also, if you... read more

This place always gets it right from the sandwiches to the soup, . I love the majestic sandwich and the portobello mushroom soup. I am never disappointed. It also helps that the service and atmosphere are quite good. Give it a try for a tasty option in Tyler.

Had dinner with friends here last weekend. Great atmosphere! The service was superb, very attentive! Grilled chicken breast, green beans, and mashed potatoes with Parmesan sprinkled on top was delicious! Chicken was large and juicy with great flavor. Everything was tasty and well prepared. Salad bar was huge! Also has soup and potatoes on the bar which makes a meal... More

We have dined here on seven different occasions, beginning in December, 2013. Based on a friend's recommendation, we made the original136 mile round trip. It was so terrific the first time, we keep going back. We have never been disappointed. Pay special attention to the Chef's recommendations. Whether it's brunch during the week, or dinner on weekend, the food is... More

I did not partake of the buffet, like most of my lunch companions, as I generally do not care to dip into food that others have as well. I ordered the most delicious salad with grilled chicken and a small muffin. I forget the name, but it had pecans and cranberries in it as well. It was delicious and just... More

I've enjoyed the Potpourri House for over twenty years. It makes a great lunch date with friends, and offers live music on many evenings. The salad bar is delicious - but don't expect it to be low calorie! The entrees are always good. It's a very girly place, with an attached shop that has many interesting items in a wide... More

I feel really badly writing this, I generally share good reviews of good dining experiences, or post constructive tips to help make something better, to adjust to improve the dining experiences and make the owners successful. This however, is the first time that I am posting to warn prospective diners to stay away. As visitors we were lured in by... More

Not a fan of the buffet. Blech! It's awful. If you have literally no where else to go, and I mean no where, then go here and order off the menu.

Very nice place. Love that you can browse in the shop before or after your meal. I had the salad and soup bar. Plenty to choose from there. Loved the bread!!

I was skeptical but this turned out to be one of the best places I have eaten on a business trip. Great price for a great, basic meal. the grilled chicken is delicious and the service was fabulous. it came highly recommended by the locals and I am glad I took their advice and ate here over the chain places...
