This is a great little family owned restaurant that my family frequents often. The food is great, portions are big and the service is also great. Whether it's Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner you can't go wrong here!

We met for lunch today here. Fast and friendly service, large portions, good food. Enjoyed my carne asada with corn tortillas. It is essentially fajitas minus the cheese. Very tender meat. Wife's "lunch quessadilla" was really a burrito cut in half, but tasted good. Love their spicy green sauce!

Have to say I was surprised when I ate here for the first time. Food was great service was fast and friendly. Just a tiny place so it was packed during lunch time. They have a great patio outside with fans so would be a great place to eat and have drinks but this place doesn't sell beer or alcohol...... More

I am in the Tyler area on business and last evening I asked Siri for a good Mexican restaurant close to my hotel. Siri recommended this restaurant so I stopped by and enjoyed a good dinner. The chips and salsa were good. The freshly made salad was crisp. The Cilantro lime salad dressing was so good that I dipped some... More

On a business trip to Tyler, we were fortunate enough to be introduced to this place by my friend. The food was fresh, flavorful and authentic. I couldn't recommend it more. My wife had steak quesadillas and I had the combo fajitas. Both the best we have ever had. Great rice and beans. The chips and salsa were tops as... More

My first visit to this small restaurant, 22 or so tables, was for lunch and my friend and I ordered off of their lunch menu. He had the two enchiladas, which he thoroughly enjoyed, and I had the two tamales. Both dishes come with rice and beans. The tamales were of good size and filled with so much pork meat... More

I have been to La Plazita four times over the last three months and I now believe it is for real. Service has been excellent and the food is fresh and flavorful. A large menu offers lots of dishes. Best so far have been the chicken sour cream enchiladas, stuffed bell peppers (chicken or beef) and "mexican tacos," which are... More
