I asked for a recommendation for a breakfast restaurant and was encouraged to go to The Egg and I. The food was okay, but we thought it was VERY overpriced. I had Wisconsin Skillet with sausage. The sausage seems to be spiced with rosemary, which I like, but I got terrible heartburn which may have been from the spices. The... More

With it being the last day of our stay in Tyler we wanted something different than the continental breakfast offered by our hotel. We found his restaurant on trip advisor, and we were not disappointed! The atmosphere was cozy, the staff was friendly, and the food was delicious! This place is a must next time we visit!

I have been to The Egg & I Restaurant several times and it has always been packed with a waiting line average of about 15 to 30 minutes. The menu has a large selection and the food is tasty. The service was a little slow but the server did as well as could be expected.

Stopped here on a trip through Tyler, decided completely by the name of the place. Am glad we did. The food was outstanding, the portions large and the staff was friendly. Arrived shortly before closing - the staff didn't bat an eye, they were as good/polite as if it was the start of the day. Only open for breakfast and... More

I enjoyed the Egg and I on a recent trip to Tyler. The portions were large, and the price reasonable. I had eggs benedict and they were delicious. Service was prompt and efficient. Would recommend to lovers of breakfast.

This is hands down the best breakfast anywhere! I really am a stickler for getting away from the same old same old breakfast food...you know what I mean... eggs, bacon, pancakes etc. Well this place will do back flips to get you what you want for breakfast. I special ordered diced tomatoes with spinach, artichoke hearts, and baby bellas sauteed... More

The food was decent but over-priced. Much better deals and food at Mamma's Cafe down 5th street. The worst part was the staff, and surprisingly enough even the manager, were rude and condescending. Won't be going here again!

An "egg-excellent" brunch place. The menu all looked good but I had the eggs Benedict and it was perfect! Love the coffee pot on the table, also. It was busy on a Saturday but worth the wait.

A full menu and not all meals had eggs. Good atmosphere, fast service and delicious food. It's only open for breakfast/lunch.
