My wife and I only had 25 minutes for a quick lunch. We figured gumbo would be a quick meal and were curious if their gumbo had a good roux. Our favorite gumbo place is Steamboat Bill's in Lake Charles, La. Although this gumbo didn't have a dark roux, the consistency and taste were great. We understand it's a recipe... More

This place is the worst. From bad food, boring atmosphere, dirty bathrooms and terrible service you'll find it all at breaker's. The employees, management and owner (who disgustingly sits barefoot at their bar) don't care about service or you as a customer. They have loud and obnoxious bar patrons that seem to be more of a concern than serving food.... More

Breakers is tucked away on Old Bullard Rd with a tiny parking lot. You don't want to overlook this gem. Walking into the light, sunny restaurant transports you to a west coast vacation. Everything on the menu is delicious and beautifully presented. The pineapple upside down cake martini is a special treat.

Breakers on Old Bullard Road is a small restaurant but very big on service and excellent food with reasonable prices. Their Key Lime Martini is outstanding. Lots of wonderful seafood dishes and desserts. They have a small but very nice well stocked bar. You usually don't need a reservation, but call ahead on the weekend.

Great fish tacos, mashed potatoes and asparagus were excellent. My spouse had the shrimp and grits which was one of their signature entrees and being a self proclaimed shrimp connoisseur he said it was truly delicious as we're the grits. The wait staff was helpful and attentive. Will be return diners very soon.

I love Breakers for lunch at the bar or Happy Hour at the bar. It brings out the beach bum in me, and sitting at the bar, with my back to the front door, I can easily pretend I'm in Galveston with the Gulf just over my shoulder. The bartenders are personable and attentive, fun and relaxed, and up for... More

The Pacific Seafood Medley was great, as were the a Salmon Crustinis. The service, however, seemed distracted away from serving.

The girl working the bar just wants to talk to her friends. Very poor service. Something was cooked wrong and she said, "Oh So sorry" even after I told her I could not eat it. Will not go back. She just wanted to hang with her bar friends. I couldn't get her attention even to pay the bill.

Not being a fish lover I was somewhat hesitant to try it out, but my husband loves salmon and says it's the best in town. He also loves the shimp and grits. My favorite is the paneed chicken and the crab cakes.

The management at this "restaurant" spits in your face while getting drunk at the bar in the early evening. Twice now our food has come out completely wrong and way over-timed. Twice I have asked to speak to a manager and only been met with my server because the manager was "busy." This place is a joke.
