Very reasonably priced with home cooked flavor..... too bad the location is not the best...the proximity to the railroad tracks make it kind of cumbersome....

We took my dad here on a Saturday for Father's Day lunch and the first thing we did was reserve our dessert! Everything is so fresh. If they have the enchiladas... Get them!

Open only for lunch, this wonderful stable in Tomball, Texas is THE place to be seen. The sandwiches on homemade bread (chicken salad is to die for) are gourmet fare as is the quiche (with secret ingredient hash browns). When you order, plan on dessert or you will not get the whole benefit of eating lunch at the Whistle Stop.... More

This is a regular place for Saturday lunches for us. The food is great, but you must save room for dessert. I've not had anything that wasn't fabulous, but my personal favorite is the bread pudding! Do get there early because it gets crowded fast and there isn't a lot of room in the waiting area.

The chicken salad sandwich is the best on the planet!! The atmosphere of the old antiques and the feel of days gone by. Also, the ladies that care for the place and serve the food..Amazing

Our soup. salad and sandwich lunch was very good and we made room for a very rich protion of creamy cake to share. Service... More

While in town visiting friends, went to "Old Town Tomball" to do a little shopping. Lots of cute places to browse. While there, ran into a little tea room called the Whistle Stop. My friend and I went in and had to try the chicken salad. Was good. It was a smooth salad with a little too much mayo and... More

Almost full but gave us a big table for 3. Chicken salad on a croisant for all. They were fabulous...good recipe. Giant piece of cake which we shared. The place was noisey. Service was excellent. Checked on by floor manager twice. The area deserves another visit.....maybe a dozen shops nearby.o
