Bringing the best of the backyard to the restaurant scene When award winning, celebrity chef Kent Rathbun created the gourmet backyard cuisine concept, some scoffed. Others thought it was crazy enough that it might just work. Well as it turned out, Chef Kent was onto something and his unique concept soon became an award winner too - a Nation's Restaurant News Hot Concept! Award winner. What exactly is gourmet backyard cuisine? It relies on fresh, seasonal ingredients of the highest quality. It uses recipes that are familiar and loved. It combines the two, elevating both to a level that's comforting, yet unexpected at the same time. Lunch, dinner, Sunday brunch and Sunday night family-style or regular service dinner -every meal is simpler than you'd expect from an Iron Chef America winner and better than you've ever had in any backyard or restaurant.

Great food and atmosphere

Tiny menu yet everything is delicious. Outdoor tables are a great place to be even though the atmosphere indoors is also charming. Great location. Good bar. Prices a bit high.

We have lunched at Jasper's several times in the past few months, both during the busy lunch hour and a bit after. It is really wonderful when it's quieter. The warm Maytag blue cheese chips are decadent. Have had the generous lunch combos and lunch fish special. Feel the lunch (soup, salad, sandwich) combos are a better value. Service has... More

Enjoyed it overall. It was pretty busy and I felt we got forgotten a couple of times, but food was great. We shared the small prime rib and a Caesar. I'd hate to see the full size Caesar as each one of ours split was huge. I've had dinner sized Caesars that weren't as big! The dressing wasn't as tangy... More

A wonderful anniversary dining experience. The dirty martini and old fashion got things warmed. A nice wine from the wine list kept things festive. There are always interesting specials, but the baby back ribs are 'the bomb' as they say. Fall off the bone tender with a BBQ sauce that is oh so Texas good. You won't be disappointed with... More

My parents took my family here to celebrate my birthday and we all had a wonderful dinner. I got a filet and it was great. My dad ordered the cowboy ribeye and said it was the best he'd ever had!! I've tried ribeye when he's had it before and I'm generally not a fan, but this one really was good!... More

It's been a while since I had eaten there the food was good , not as good as I remembered. Our waitress was fantastic she suggested a great wine and I had a martini it was great (blue cheese stuffed olives) all in all it was a good meal.

We had my folks 55 th anniversary there. Reserved the private dining room there overlooking the courtyard with the Huge Christmas tree. We had our own private glass doors to open and close as we wished. The whole room and table was decorated so nice for Christmas. The manager that I dealt with for the event was Spectacular and attention... More

Jasper's is one of my favorite places around Houston. The location on Market Square is perfect, the decor is sleek and elegant (albeit a little too dark), and the atmosphere is one of sophistication. More importantly, the food is terrific! We had been there for dinner with our family from overseas, and everyone was delighted with the food and service.... More

Jasper's is a terrific Woodlands restaurant as there are so many but this place is a stand out! I fell in love with Kent Rathbun's cooking at Abacus in Dallas so when they first opened Jasper's in the Woodlands, I had to try it and I was and have never been disappointed. Great food and great atmosphere, a must try.

We wanted to try brunch here on a Sunday. It was not crowded but it took some time to get waited on. We knew we were in trouble when the waitress told the family behind us there was a problem in the kitchen. My wife ordered the shrimp and grits. It was expensive and when it finally came it had...
