The Black Walnut is located off Research Forest in a retail area and can be a bit tricky to find the first time. It is a causal atmosphere where you order and pay at the counter, then pick up your food and take it to your table. They offer a nice selection of salads, sandwiches, pastas and a few other... More

This is my favorite breakfast place in the Woodlands. The service is always good, food is fantastic and atmosphere is neat. Perfect for a ladies brunch, business meeting, date or special occasion. Great salads, burgers, pasta and breakfast items. The French toast is amazing!!!

Firs,t if you know the Woodlands, some restaurants are hidden off in the midst of little boutiques and stores, so you have to pay attention on Research Forest or you will miss it. Second, My husband and I came here for the first time today and we were very impressed. It was busy but not too crowded around 9am. You walk... More

Went to the cafe for brunch. Ordered eggs Benedict with coffee. Eggs were quite good. The home fries were also very tasty. Place was quite crowded for a Monday. Others in our party ordered the French toast and pancakes. These were also very good. The only down side to this place is that you order from a counter and also... More

We live just a couple of miles from the Black Walnut so we have been there several times, whether with just us two, or with our family, or friends. Breakfast, lunch or dinner, it all has been good. They also have wonderful desserts, gelato, coffees and bar. Each time I have been there, they have been busy, so allow yourself... More

Have had a number of great breakfast here. The atmosphere is relaxing and I always feel I can get another cup of coffee. Have been to two different locations and felt the same in both.

The food is just mediocre with a higher price tag but the gelato is delicious. I had to send my $9 drink back once and it still wasn't right on the second try so I just asked for simple syrup because it was obvious that they did not know how to make the drink. The woodlands has other great places... More

Asian Tuna salad was awesome, and their tortilla soup is the best I have ever had! Loved the outside patio. Staff was extremely friendly. Great place!
