We stopped at Sakekawa after a movie at Market Street. Staff was excellent! It's a little loud inside but really perfect for our "after-movie" relaxing evening with friends. We shared a bottle of wine and all ordered sushi rolls to share - the Phoenix Roll was excellent, as were the Tiger Roll and Red Dragon, Salmon sashimi was melt-in-your-mouth tender... More

Went for dinner and had Jingle Bell roll which was super fresh tuna avocado. Miso soup was so so. Picture is attached. Atmosphere at the bar was fun. I have never seen a staff drink sake bombs so much. So not sure if a staff was sober but the food was very fresh and the service friendly

Have gone once - usually will go back but everyone has such a bad experience we don't even want to try again. Service first - was what seemed like a new server. Spilled a drink all over me and then disappeared. Cleaned up most myself before he showed up with a few napkins. Never apologized or made things right. We... More

Every time we come to this place which is very often for the proximity to our home we leave please with service, food quality and cleanliness of the restaurant and this time was not exception. We highly recommend this place to have lunch or dinner, it is time and money well spent and guarantees a great time, family friendly place... More

We've eaten at Sakekawa many times -- for lunch and dinner -- and the quality of the food is declining. Very disappointing dinner on Friday. We ordered the same things we've had there in the past, but this time the chicken was overcooked and inedible and the sushi so tough I couldn't even bite it. Not sure if I want... More

I'm only writing this review because I first wrote the restaurant and explained my issues. I never got any sort of a reply back, which seems to fit their way of doing things. I've been to Sakekawa multiple times (both locations) and have always had a good or great experience. That is why we selected Sakekawa for my mother's birthday... More

When we crave sushi we usually go to Fukuda in The Woodlands off 45 but decided to stay close to the house and go to Sakekawa. I looked around and saw the other tables getting good service but our waitress didn't even care about refills or how our meal was after we received it. I had to remind her to... More

Absolutely the most flavorful fresh Hibachi, awesome sushi. What a great, CLOSE neighborhood surprise. Much better than the fancy Houston restaurants and competitively priced. We will return often.

We made reservations at Sakekawa never having been there before in order to celebrate the birthday of my son-in-law who was actually marrying my daughter the next day. We needed a good place to accommodate 18 people that could offer delicious food, reasonably priced, good customer service, and most of all a fun environment. Sakekawa delivered all of this. They...
