Not all tables are created equal

Went to America's for the first time on a Saturday night. The decor is amazing - lots of fun. The main dining room is downstairs at the river level - a plus. We were given a table next to the exit door to the patio which wasn't being used - a pity since it was a warm night. There was... read more

I love the steak here, and the lobster lollipops are to die for! All the food is remarkable, because the Cordua family members are masters at all food they prepare. The event coordinator is beautiful and one of the best we've ever worked with for our private parties.

We celebrated my husbands 33rd birthday yesterday March 4th and we thouroughly enjoyed everything about this restaurant. We cannot wait to go back. The food was amazing, the waiters were amazing, and the atmosphere was great. Bathrooms were very clean as well and that's a "must" for us. ☺️

We had a business dinner here last Thursday, night and was really impressed with the new Latin fusion cuisine. I had the meat lovers special which included grilled (to perfection), bison, lamb pops, and skirt steak. Really outstanding. I also had the Tres Leche for dessert, although the riches thing I've probably ever had, was decadent and almost sinful.I was... More

I am writing this review so the owners of this place can think about what they did last night to the dozens of couples that selected Americas for a romantic night. Had reservations for 8:45 for 4 people due to a special occasion. Arrived at the restaurant at 8:30 to see like 50 people outside in a line. No other... More

This is the absolute worst high dollar dining experience I have ever had anywhere! We had to WAIT in line 30 minutes on the street just to check in for our RESERVATION! Then we waited another 40 minutes for our table only to be sent to ANOTHER line to be seated. Everyone was crammed into tiny wobbly wooden round tables.... More

Bar above, Restaurant below on waterway in Woodlands. Specials are delicious (seafood) but pricey. Weak cocktails. Bar scene for younger late nite set. Attentive restaurant service. Upstairs bar service below average.

Americas features steaks cooked in the South American style--which I think is delicious. Every meal stars with fried plantains dipped in three sauces. The Churassaco steaks are great and come with great sides including rice and brands and baked plantains and fried potatoes and vegetables. The wine list include some good reasonably priced wines and some excellent big time wines... More

New Year's Eve is hit-or-miss at most restaurants, with their thick crowds and fixed price menus. We arrived before our reservation and sat at the bar for a bit. The bartender was incredibly distracted and busy, our drinks were mediocre, and we wondered if we'd made the right restaurant choice. But once we were seated, our wait staff and sommelier... More

We went here for NYE with 4 other couples. We were able to get a last minute reservation, which may or may not mean anything. They had a 3-course $67.00 price fixe menu with a surcharge (which they didn't mention when I asked about the price and menu on the phone) for their Churrasco steak. The mixed seafood ceviche starter... More
