Nice menu Good Service

Lots of variety - could use a couple more steak options. They had an antipasti bar option. Service was very good and professional, nice venue and my food was excellent. I had a chicken with mushroom sauce and Caesar salad and I think it was an upscale menu with fair prices and very good food.

Grotto's used to be an excellent restaurant. Not anymore! This place has continued to go downhill since it was purchased by a large corporation that also owns Landry's, etc. The salmon was tasteless, tank-raised, pale-pink variety and was over-cooked. The spinach was sludge-like and tasted like it came out of a can. The shrimp appetizer which was supposed to be... More

Our table was a little cramped but the food was great... Portions a little on the small side but I would go back for sure! Ravioli looked good too!

I have been here a few times but my wife never has so I brought her to give it a try, we both enjoyed it very much. Our server Matt was excellent! He was super friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. We had the calamari, snapper and sea bass all of which were great. We sampled several drinks that weren't on the... More

A group of colleagues went here for a pre-arranged dinner. They had choices of salad, noodles, entrée, and dessert. I had the caprese salad (excellent), ravioli alla vodka (to die for), and the chicken Parmigiano (they say baked but it tasted like perfect deep-fried deliciousness with broiled mozzarella cheese). Strawberry Cassata for dessert (melt in your mouth!). Would definitely go... More

Grotto Ristorante strikes me as one of those restaurants working darn hard to achieve "excellent" status but falling just a bit short. Everything at Grotto, from the service, to the appetizers, to the main course to the desserts is very good but some distance from the best I've ever had. The Grotto has an appetizer bar that features 12 or... More

We stopped in to have one of their $10 lunch specials. I had the Grotto chicken which was a huge plate of food. Plenty of chicken and mushrooms in sauce. Chicken was thin, but tender. A big pile of garlic spinach and penne pasta. It looked more like a dinner entree than lunch. Hubby had cheese ravioli in a Gargonzola... More

After an appointment, my wife and I headed to Grotto, a favorite of ours, to have a light lunch. It was a beautiful, mild December day in Houston, and we chose to sit outside on their patio, which was nice. My wife had a glass of their Ruffino Chianti and I had a glass of their Banfi Chianti Classico. Both... More

Since being in Houston, I have been to the Grotto three times. Whilst it is loud and crowded, the meal was good on each occasion. Service is also a strong point. I seem to arrive when at peak dinner times so the noise is not surprising. Being one of the better Woodlands offerings it is wise to book a table.... More

It has been a while since we visited, but this was an excellent visit. Service was first rate from the manager greeting and seating us (including swapping the white napkin for black as appropriate) to a random server taking our drink orders until our server was freed up and then great but minimal service as needed from our server throughout...
