I suggested Bryce's after reading some reviews and seeing the place in a city guide. I couldn't have suggested a worse place! My daughter ordered blackened chicken meal because she couldn't identify chicken spaghetti in the line. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak--it was covered in an ORANGE colored sauce!! He eats anything, but not that! I ordered the... More

We ate lunch there with 2 large bus tours. Their line went really fast. The service was excellent. There was a great selection of all types of food, fresh and hot. The restaurant was clean and well maintained.

Stopped for lunch while passing through, and it was great. Good veggies, several yummy pies to choose from, and fast, friendly service. Very much a throwback to a bygone era, and a reminder of how good old-fashioned cafeterias used to be. Quick on-and-off from I-35, so it's a great comfort-food stop on the Little Rock to Dallas route.

Last month as my family was traveling through Texarkana, my wife and I recommended that we all stop for Dinner at Bryce's Cafeteria. My wife and I had eaten there before quite a few times and were comfortable that we could depend on getting a good meal there. We were dead wrong. While a few of our dishes showed glimpses... More

Our family of six (kiss ages 11-17) enjoyed a quick dinner while we were on the road. If you like Lubys or other Southern cafeterias, you will like Bryce's. Prices are reasonable and the food is good, not special or creative. I like the option of the smaller portions and my 11 year old enjoyed her three side option. There... More

I ordered a piece of awful fish, and a piece of pie and the total was $14.12. The small over cooked fish was 7.40. No vegetables ordered because the server didn't even ask if I wanted them, she slapped the fish on the plate threw tarter sauce on the side walked off and started helping the next person in line.... My husband and I decided to drive to Texarkana as a Sunday drive. (remember those?) We had read about Bryce's and having grown up with cafeterias we decided to give it a try. We arrived just in time for the post-church crowd. If you want good food, wide selection, and terrific service with a smile, this is the place for... More

One thing comes to mind when I think of Bryce's Cafeteria and that is: fresh peach pie. It is literally life changing. Do yourself a favor this summer and go through the drive thru to order a peach pie. I promise it'll be hard not to eat the whole thing by yourself in one sitting. Heavenly!

Bryce's Cafeteria in Texarkana TX was a welcome oasis after a tough drive through congested highway construction in Arkansas. It's an old-fashioned cafeteria, very large, with friendly and helpful staff, not just behind the counter. The food is oriented toward east Texas/Southern, and the desserts are of the pre-health-food variety--big, sweet, lots of whipped cream and meringue.
