The BBQ ribs were great! My steak was amazing. My friend's catfish and chicken was really good too. The atmosphere was comfortable and mountain cabin quaint. Large choice so sides. I will definite return to this restaurant.

I'm from up North in Fort Worth, so I can't speak to what this place used to be, but today's visit seemed like someone started cutting corners. I couldn't figure out what it was the BBQ sauce reminded me of and then it hit me - Campbell's Tomato Soup. I'd bet money it's straight out of a soup can. The... More

The food was good but a little too pricy especially for the little bit that we got. The service was great and the place was clean, but the decor was horrible! All the stuffed wildlife trophies which I frown upon very much. Some looked illegal! I was ready to walk out the door the moment I stepped into the dining... More

I used to go to clems all the time and it was always very good. But every since his kids took over the quality has gone down. I stopped going there a while back because of tthat. I decided to try it again tonight to see if it has gotten any better, but my opinion it is much worse. The sliced... More

This place was excellent! Food was amazing and our server Julie was awesome. We were passing through on our way home from South Padre and we are very glad we chose this excellent place. You need to try it if you are ever down this way.

Family friendly restaurant. We went on a Friday night and had great steak, sausage, and brisket. Their brown beans are fantastic. We have also gone thru the drive thru during the week and love there family deal. Meat, sides, and bread.

First the good news--service was very friendly and efficient. Sadly, the good news ends there. The potato salad was one of the biggest bummers. It was really cold mashed potatoes and tasted as bland as that sounds. There was a bit of color mixed in, but whatever those ingredients were insufficient to add flavor. The beans were cooked just the... More

I mentioned to the server that the meat seemed skimpy and he acted cocky. Meat tasted old and sauce was very watery and tasteless. I don't know how this place has stayed in business this long!

My husband and I visited here with our daughter and son-in-law recently. None of us had eaten there before so we were game to try out a new place. The BBQ meat was very good (I had chopped beef) but the sides were very average. I usually order baked beans with BBQ (my personal favorite) but this place did not... More

Clem's is a long established restaurant, immediately adjacent to IH-35 so it is popular with travelers through town. My experience is that the BBQ is quite variable in quality, and that their brisket tends to be very fatty. I prefer the slower cooked brisket where most of the fat is cooked out and it falls apart when it is cut.... More
