Expanded menu, all good so far...

BBQ is a tricky and subjective creature. What I like, and what you like may differ. Greatly. Clem's has something for almost everyone. I love the tri-tip, not traditional Texas bbq, but very flavorful. They have great sausage too. Still not your thing? Branch out, try something new! They have... read more

Over, and over, and over again, I have tried to give Clem's the benefit of the doubt. No more! I have eaten at Clem's for over 30 years and loved it. Since Clem died and the kids took over it has been abysmal. They seem to have forgotten what good BBQ is and have tried to reach out as far... More

For the last 50 yrs, we ate here and enjoyed it, even raised our kids on Clem's bbq. We have eaten at the "new" Clem's 3 times over the last few years. Not good bbq. Bad attitude toward those of us who want the tri-tip/sirloin Clem served, and, who were able to go thru the serving line watching our meat,... More

We enjoy the steaks at Clem's. The last two visits, though, we were told that they were "out of rolls" at 7:00 in the evening. It's still a good place for chicken fried steak, grilled steak, and hamburgers, as well as barbecue. Worth the trip!

We were travelling from Houston to San Antonio along I35 and stumbled upon this place to stop and eat! Outside, it's built in a hexagonal shape and looks nothing special, inside it's a hommage to hunting. It looks like just about every animal that's ever lived has been killed and stuffed and placed inside for ambience! This isn't the place... More

My family met up in Temple for a sort of mini reunion and my sister suggested Clem's BBQ. I hadn't heard of it and although I love BBQ I wasn't really in the mood to go to a BBQ place that night with a bunch of kids. I was happy to find out that Clem's is not simply a BBQ... More

One of the best tasting ribeyes I have had in a while .. .what a surprise from a BBQ place. The salad is crispy and fresh ... dressing is really good too. The ribeye and backed potato cannot be beat. It is always cooked just like I order it ... I like medium rare, hubby likes well (yuck). But they... More

We have eaten at this restaurant which is know for its BBQ, but now they have steaks and seafood after 4 pm. I have been several times and I have not received a bad steak yet. Cooked with the flavors sealed in. Prices are very reasonable.

Clems has been around quite sometime, but I feel Clems is over priced for their quality of BBQ(witch is not high) the hamburgers have gotten a lot better.

There is no other BBQ where I will eat a chopped sandwich. For many years I managed a BBQ in two locations. I'm a true BBQ snob. This is quality meat and portions.
