Classy little bakery and cafe

Small soup and Sandwich shop in North Temple... next to Czech museum so they also have Kolaches on the menu. Pretty good desserts.

This is a nice place to go for a decent sandwich and soup for lunch at a decent price. It's certainly not spectacular, but if you're around downtown Temple or on the north side you don't need to drive all the way south to Scholtzsky's or McAlister's when you can get a comparable lunch here from a local bakery.

I'm glad you enjoyed our little shop! We're a local neighborhood bakery with a limited menu, but we do our best with fresh baked bread daily! More

Had lunch here. Four of ordered different items. My grilled cheese was good, but the others were all a bit disappointed in their selections. When compared to West, TX Czech selections, these came across as a cheaper version. So...subjective thoughts.

Hi! Thanks for taking the time to review us! We do our best with everything fresh baked every day (no "day old" products!) and fresh bread daily for sandwiches and such. I know we're just a small place without the room of the folks at West, TX, but we do our best! More

This is a great place to go and Chef Kirk is very friendly. The kolaches is good. Ordered a cake July 1st. Was dry. I don't know what happened, the baked goods are usually great, was very disappointed.

Friendly atmosphere and staff. Fresh foods and deserts. Pies can be special ordered! Again, try the pecan sticky buns!

Not just a bakery!! I have eaten twice at this small restaurant. Last week I got the lunch special which was potato bacon soup and a roast beef sandwich. The soup was excellent and the sandwich was prepared to my liking. The special also came with a tasty pickle wrapped in foil and choice of chips, for $5.99. There are... More

I wanted to like this place, I really did. But it was a huge disappointment. I ordered a BLT (they only have about 3 sandwich options to choose from). A BLT is hard to mess up it would seem, but its the worse BLT I've ever had. The large sandwich only had two strips of bacon. I do give them... More

I am SO sorry that you found your experience so poor! I'm really not sure what happened as we put four (4) slices of bacon on each BLT, two (2) if it is a half-sandwich. Yours must have gone through wrong. I would appreciate a second chance at pleasing you. If you come in and let me know who you... More

We came here for lunch because of the high Trip Advisor rating. However, the food was just average, and was expense for what you got. It's a limited menu, and one of the things that got rave reviews was the chicken salad. A couple of us ordered the chicken salad, but was informed they had run out of it. The... More

I am sorry you were disappointed with your visit. I am also sorry we were out of Chicken Salad. We try to have all products available at all times, but sometimes that is just not possible. We bake our bread every day so that your sandwich is made on bread made that day every day. I'm also sorry that you... More

My husband and I came here for lunch on a Saturday. Love the decor and how "cutesy" it is. The staff were very friendly and personable. The bread for the sandwiches was so delicious. We were very pleased with our food. However, I found it to be expensive. I wasn't prepared to spend $18 for a sandwich lunch. That kind... More

I'm so glad you enjoyed your time with us. However, I'm confused. You say you paid $18.00 for a sandwich lunch... our standard sandwich price is $4.99 ($5.99 for the Club or Gourmet Grilled) and a drink is $1.99. If you get the special (1/2 sandwich and soup or salad), that's $5.99 and only $0.99 more for a drink. Either... More

The Teddy Bear Bakery was a random lunch stop as we were on our way to a nearby office. My husband and I and our two year old son went for lunch on a weekday- we drove by and decided to stop. The bakery is next to a Czech museum. The menu is limited as the Bakery bakery is 'small.'... More
