Fabulous Food and Service

Fabulous food!! Our son had surgery Thursday at Scott and White. Megg's was close to our Hotel so we ran in there to eat dinner last night. So impressed with food and service, we had breakfast today before returning home to Wichita Falls. Wonderful experience!

Excellent "gourmet" food. Delicious specialty sandwiches, great shrimp and grits, appetizers, steak, breakfast - - have always been over the top! Yummy breads also!

I was hoping for a wider array of gluten free choices in the bakery area. There were two choices, a large cookie that I think was oatmeal and quite good. The other choice seemed to be a biscotti type cookie with chocolate topping. It was not as good as the other cookie, but ok to eat with tea or coffee.... More

We were on a road trip between Tx Hill Country and Dallas and stopped in at 2 in the afternoon. It was busy but pleasantly so. We were greated with a smile both by the hostess and our waitress Erica. We started with the empanadas which were cooked a little long but still tasty. I had a salad with grilled... More

listen, I have run the counter at a lunch restaurant and to-go orders can be a drag for restaurant workers, but not the folks at Megg's! They always make my cappuccino to go correctly and pack my lunch quite perfectly :)

Fresh local ingredients expertly prepared in a variety of rustic dishes that change with the season.and fresh out of the oven bread. Relaxed atmosphere so you feel right at home whether you are dressed in your Sunday best or wearing your favorite jeans.

I've been here often and have never been disappointed. The mushroom omelet, pork belly Benedict, shrimp & grits, and Cuban are just a few of my favorites. They use local farmers for fresh ingredients which makes it even better. So thankful this wonderful place is in Temple!

My husband and I, while passing through Temple, TX, planned to meet some old friends for dinner.. After consulting Trip Advisor, I suggested we try Megg's Cafe because it was advertised as having fresh local food. We weren't disappointed. I ordered a cup of the beef and potato soup, along with the lettuce shrimp wraps. Both were absolutely delicious -... More

The quality of the food was top! The atmosphere is comfortable and quiet at lunch time, we haven't been there any other time. The taste is as what one would expect from a gourmet chef, very pleasant! I highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys good taste, good atmosphere for the price you pay ( which isn't bad😉), go ahead,... More

We decided to go here instead of a chain because the reviews were all so great. It was busy, which is to be expected on a Saturday morning, but we were seated relatively quickly (25-30 minutes). The main issue we had was that the food just wasn't that great. My daughter got the french toast, which was delicious, more like... More
