Got the 'moist' brisket that was to die for!!! Also had the ribs, fall off the bone full of flavor. This is a place that you don't need sides for. The meat is all I need. Get there early (I was number 3 in line after they opened), within an hour there was a line because it's just that darn... More

Great barbecue with phenomenal service. The restaurant is easy to find. Just get to Taylor, Texas and roll down the window. Follow your nose. Or just turn when you see the really long line. As mentioned in other reviews, there can sometimes be longer lines (out the door variety). I found the service great and the line kept moving. You... More

Get there early its so popular it sells out of food. Just the best BBQ with friendly staff. We were treated to some samples of food as we waited in line.

We went out of our way (Austin, Tx) to visit this BBQ restaurant, and was not disappointed. The two of us got a platter (not on the menu) with ribs of beef and pork, brisket and turkey plus mashed potato and coleslaw on the side and 2 x cokes. The ribs were super delicious. The brisket okay. The turkey was... More

Ate at Louie's on a three day barbecue feast. It was easily the best barbecue of the trip and as good or better than I recall ever having there. Fabulous brisket both lean and fat. Very good to excellent pork ribs (wife said best ever). And the best sausage of the three restaurants. Hard to beat IMO. By the way,... More

Need I say more? It's the best I've ever eaten. If you call ahead to order, you won't have to wait in line. But it's worth the wait!

This is the real deal but, if you are from the area, you already know that. The building has sky-lights that are blackened out from the smoke, picnic tables inside two seating areas. We waited in line for about 20 minutes on a weekday at 11:30am. Menu on white sheets of paper taped to the wall. Our group of four... More

We decided to call in our order and bring it home since my husband was working and couldn't go with us. I'd like to get the whole experience one day. We drove about 65 miles one way and it was well worth it!! The line was already long but since we called it in, we walked straight in past the... More

Went here for lunch on a recent visit to Austin . The building is old world , rustic, & has a great feel about it , menu is on pages stuck to the wall written in black marker !! The food was amazing , we shared ribs , brisket & turkey . Can't wait to return !!

The hours are odd because they close at 6. We arrive shortly before closing so took our order as a carry out. The brisket was tender and flavorful. I recommend the potato salad too.
