After church breakfast is best at Kitty's Purple Cow. The staff there is great. They treat you like family.

Had burgers here during spring break. A few people coming in and out but by no means crowded. Good burgers. Also enjoyed the fried jalapeno's. Refills on the tea. Service was very good. Will go back if we're ever in the area again.

Since the rebuild, it's a lot different- less feeling like you're in a secret club- but in a good way. Highly recommend if you're in town. It's an institution and the buzzer noise is sure to precede sheepish looks all night long.

Stopped in for lunch. Had the patty melt. It was really good. It was extremely busy when I was there as it was peak season. Tourists as well as local folks filled the place. Will be going back to the area next week. I plan to give it another try.

Place has been there forever--great burgers & staff is awesome. If you have never been---need to get there as quick as you can. No one cooks a burger like Kitty's Purple Cow Cafe

$1.50 for one canned coke, no refills. Meat was obviously frozen type. Ok burger, when you can get a great burger lots of places. No big thrill to eat here.

I have seen this restaurant for years on my trips down to Surfside, but I never had the chance to go inside until this weekend. The burgers reminded me of Whataburger, really good but definitely not a big gourmet burger. What made the place really great were the waitresses. They were very friendly,in an old-school Texas kind of way.

Average food, average prices. Cute inside and out. Great service. Great place to eat out of the heat.

I don't really want to bash this restaurant but...how can you mess up breakfast...seriously. The biscuits and gravy were cold, the bacon was not freshly cooked and over-medium eggs does not mean over-easy. The only thing I did like was that they had flavored creamer and let me tell you - you needed it! Everything was served on Styrofoam (umm...beach?..recyclable?).... More
