Nice View but Should be Taking Greater Advantage of its Assets

A great view can enhance any experience. I don’t care if it’s a simple day in the park, an outdoor concert, or anything else- a nice bit of scenery can make the ordinary extraordinary and it is precisely the view that led me to visit Pirate’s Alley Café in Surfside Beach. I just visited Surfside... read more

The waiter was a little absent minded. They ran out of lettuce and buns. Also the menu online doesn't match what they serve. No club sandwich. 😕

Pirate's Alley is a really nice place to sit out on the patio and watch the waves while drinking a beer. The food is not gourmet but very satisfying. The service is very good.

Good news first...The ambiance is good, but that's the only nice thing I have to say. I'm a fish taco fanatic. I always have a difficult time deciding which place serves my favorite fish taco. Let me tell you this, worst fish taco is not a toss up, Pirates Alley wins that prize. One piece of blackened fish on an... More

First -- loved the food and the staff, and the view cannot be topped. Not sure if our experiences were isolated to the long weekend we visited or if always to be expected. We had two different experiences for dinner/breakfast. For dinner the first night, the wait time was ridiculous. They had enough friendly wait staff, but only one cook... More

Loved the food! Ate there everyday and was never disappointed.:) I had the fish and chips, fish tacos, and my favorite was their key lime pie.

The food was good but the service was terrible. I waited over 30 minutes for someone to realize that they actually forgot about my food order, so I ended up waiting over 50 minutes for my overcooked food. While waiting, but enjoying the view of the ocean (which was beautiful) I observed other patron's experience various problems with their orders... More

My favorite place to eat lunch and their breakfast is great as well. Excellent breakfast, but I did enjoy it more when you ordered individual meals, is now buffet style. Enjoyable to sit and look out at the ocean while enjoying your meal. Parking is sparse.

I really want to like Pirates Alley, it's a beautiful venue and I know the food is good, from the times I've been there and actually received service. I had some out-of-town guests last weekend, and they wanted to sit somewhere they could see the beach to have a beer. So, let's go to Pirates Alley. We went in, and... More
