Nice atmosphere, outdoor seating on the street, good food, can be crowded especially at night. I enjoy the shrimp salad. It can be loud on the inside. They have seating outside for the bar, too, at the bar.

Make sure that you save room for your dinner as the chips are great so is the sauces that comes with them. The food is delicious and the staff is friendly

This is one of our Houston favorites, and this location did not disappoint. Great food and service for our group of 20!

We have not eaten there but we have tasted their margaritas and they are excellent. We did look over their menu and plan a future visit to sample their fare.

The restaurant is nicely decorated. The booth seats in the main dining room provide you a nice view of the outside through the open windows, giving you the feel of being in an outdoor cafe (but with the benefit of air conditioning). The food is average and a bit pricey, although the serving of beef fajitas for two was more... More

We ate here with a party of 8 while attending a meeting at the Marriott across the street. It's a big, bustling, noisy place. The fare is good, but not great, Tex-Mex. The specials seemed overly rich and overly extravagant, but with no real imagination or refinement (lots of added shrimp and lobster to fairly standard things). If Applebee's is... More

My family loves Escalantes. I prefer Pappasitos, but often lose the vote and end up here, and usually enjoy it. The menu is more imaginative than some traditional Tex-Mex places - the Baja salad (beans and salmon) is a really good lite option. We have occasionally had some bad service experiences - they are very busy trying to upsell, and... More

Ordered a chicken breast dish, when it came the looked and tasted leathery & dry. My conclusion, must be prepared earlier and microwaved, just one bite, payed an left.

Went for brunch with kids and another family. They were very accommodating with high chairs and cleaning up the resultant mess afterwards. Food was fine, nothing terrible, but nothing spectacular either. We'd try it again.
