This is a historical restaurant even though it's not owned by the Wuenshe family anymore. We ate in the room with the long bar and it was nice.

We have patronized this establishment for years and have always had good food there. Since we moved to west Houston we do not get here as often but still do get by from time to time because it is so good.

I've been enjoying their burgers for 35 years. Place started in 1902 as a hotel and saloon. Still has the old charm of a family run cafe. Burgers are great and the orion rings to kill for. Gets very crowded near lunch time so I would plan a day visiting the numerous shops in walking distance first, then an early... More

What a great family, fun place. It's an old historical building next to the railroad tracks in the famous Old Town Spring area. Rumor is, it's haunted too. Our grandchildren love to go there and enjoy running to a window when a train comes by. We can count on consistently good food at Wunsche. I get the chicken salad sandwich... More

Nice just like mom makes country cooking. Nice friendly staff. Nice relaxing atmosphere. Reasonable prices. They have a band and music on Friday and Saturday night.

Went to this restaurant to have lunch with my wife. We were in Spring for a 50's car show. Asked the waiter which was better; hamburger or German sausage. He recommended the hamburger. And, the price was only $5.99 for a 1/2 lb burger cooked our way. Had an order of onion rings as well which were very tasty without... More

The building is a gem and the food is fabulous, especially the chicken fried steak. Yes, it is a bit greasy, but it is tender.

We found the food here as very average. No standouts in our lunch order although the pot roast special was a good deal and tasted fine. Staff were very helpful and attentive.
