Out for an evening during slow time on SPI, looking for an open restaurant and happened upon Daddy's. We are generally very suspicious of places self-labeled "Cajun", but gave it a try and were delighted. It happened to be $.50 oyster night, so that, and the boiled shrimp, was the main course. The vegetable sides were excellent, inexpensive, and more... More

Daddy's is our favorite sea food restaurant on the island. We used to go to the previous location a small casual layback restaurant. The new location is a beautiful upscale building with the same type of menu. Fish and shrimp with the Cajun spices are the best. Many people like the Cajun crawfish dishes but not my choice. Even the... More

Our Cajun dinner at Daddys was nothing special, but it was ok. I had shrimp creole, which was seasoned nicely, not spicy. The upstairs seating area was not open since it was off season. I think I would have enjoyed eating up there better than downstairs. It was a bit too noisy.

Love this place. Have never ordered something bad. Good drink specials during happy hour. Boiled crawfish, shrimp étouffée, jambalaya, fried okra = all very good. However, hands down, my favorite thing is the shrimp bisque in a bread bowl. If I lived in Padre, I would go get a bowl of that at least once a week. I always have... More

Ate at most of the local restaurants on the island but this one seems to be the best. I have eaten there three times and I have always been pleased. Service is good and the food even better. A must for all!

Food and service is good. Make sure you have some coins in your pocket, the servers never provide exact change when you pay the bill.

The mixed boil with a Mexican martini is always a good choice. They make an excellent shrimp seafood bisque, one of the best I have ever had.

We'd never tried Daddy's before and might have passed it by, but for a friend who ordered their blackened shrimp to-go and then delivered to us directly on the beach! This shrimp was superb, best we've ever had and so my wife and I decided to give them a try by paying them a visit at the restaurant over a... More

Average seafood place. The shrimp and fish were good and so was the calamari. The oysters were small, tough and chewy. Service was good and the manager took the oysters off of the bill and apologized. I will probably not be eating here again.
