We decided to go here as someone at our condo highly recommended. Someone else said they never knew if Paulinos was open because no one is in the parking lot. I can say it was only metza/metza. We were the first ones in as they open at 5 . 2 other tables had 3 before we left. Unfortunately the... read more

Because the reviews are all over the place, we thought we would throw our oar in the water. We ate at Paulino's on a quiet January evening and had some of the best, freshest pasta sauce ever. We had lasagna, spaghetti, and manicotti, all with the red sauce, and thought they were great. It is a smallish family-run restaurant well... More

I must say that the food here is not only authentic, but the owners themselves prepare the food. Menu options fairly typical, although portion size may be a bit smaller than you may be use to. Our server was the one of the owners who very nice and informative. She recommended one of their veal options that was very good.... More

My husband and I just ate at Paulino's and had a wonderful meal. I had the lasagna and it was excellent. He opted for the spaghetti with clam sauce and he was equally impressed. The meals were served with delicious garlic bread and soup or salad (we both had salad and it was fresh and good). The restaurant was clean... More

Well located ,center city, but horrible food that cannot be called Italian. Italian wine was hot and food badly cooked and cold. Pizza may have been considered passable(barely) by some but only just.Save your money and time ....keep looking and stay with Seafood everywhere else..it is the best that South Padre has to offer.

Upon entering the restaurant it had an older look but clean. The menu was very highly priced. As we started receiving food the bread was very tasty but burned on the edges and my soup was extremely salty. When our entres arrived my wife took one bite of the lasagna and gaged. Mine was just extremely salty again. I offered... More

This restaurant has a very relaxing atmosphere and it's cozy. The garlic bread is awesome and services is great. I recommend the lasagna it has an original taste (non-commercial) my wife recommend the manicotti dish, both were good.

My family went there for my daughters 14th birthday dinner. I read the reviews and was real worried about going to this restaurant but my daughter wanted Italian. I read one review where it said that your soda came in a can with no free refills. Well I have been to a lot of restaurants that serve cans of soda.... More

We loved the bread and the food was very good. The staff was friendly. The atmosphere was simple but nice. We were pleasantly surprised!

Took my sister for dinner one evening last week and it was decent. The waitress was a little older, she was relatively kind but gave us a bit of attitude when my sister wanted to exchange her salad for a soup. I ordered the lasagna, and I did not like the overt tomatoey sauce that it was sitting in, but... More
