Description: Established in 1999, Grapevine Café’s original owners created a simple restaurant offering breakfast and lunch favorites from traditional Mexican and American recipes. Under new ownership since 2006, the Grapevine Café has grown considerably in concurrence with the beautiful and surrounding city of South Padre Island, Texas. In many ways, we are still that casual eatery that serves delicious, simple and affordable food. Today, our menu boasts a greater variety of choices. We have added healthier menu items that are vegetarian and gluten free. We also offer a full line of gourmet, freshly ground coffee drinks and teas from our popular espresso bar. We take great pride in serving food that is made in-house, fresh and daily from proprietary, authentic recipes.

This place has always been popular and they do have good food. Once of my picks for breakfast on the island, it has been rebuilt since Hurricane Dolly and is in a much nice building than it use to be.

Chicken fried chicken was the most horrible thing I had ever eaten. Service was great, everyone seemed happy to be there. Fresh ground coffee smelled amazing. The end.

Great little local spot. On my first visit, I got breakfast plates to go and the migas were really good. Pancakes were awesome because you can have them add fresh fruit to the batter. The guy working that morning was super polite and friendly, and told me the entire history of the restaurant while I waited for my order. I promised... More

Great place for breakfast! They had a lot of different coffee drinks, we had a mocha and pumpkin latte which were excellent. They have fresh squeezed orange juice that is amazing! Awesome shrimp and grits, crab omelet and biscuits and gravy. Homemade biscuits and tortillas. Everything we had here was good! Great friendly staff as well.

Large menu. Service was great! We didn't have to wait a long time for our food. Our daughter has to eat Gluten Free food. This was her favorite restaurant. The owners wife is also Gluten Free. So lots of choices for her . The other dishes were equally good! Would eat here again!

This is a great place for breakfast and lunch. You can usually tell if a place is good by the local traffic, and I think everyone in town eats here. The portions are good, and the food is hot and fresh. I had the Tejano breakfast taco, and it is as big as the platter! The coffee was made fresh,... More

Me and my friends visted this place and all I can say is OMG! This is one of the best breakfast places I have eaten in a long time. I had the pecan pancakes with sausage, eggs and hasbrowns and it was wonderful! The pancakes were hot and fresh, I thought my grandmother was in the kitchen. My friends ordered... More

Finally it took 35min to bring the food.We complained about the coffee and they took another 15 min to bring a hot coffee. By the time the food came... More
