Established in 1999, Grapevine Café’s original owners created a simple restaurant offering breakfast and lunch favorites from traditional Mexican and American recipes. Under new ownership since 2006, the Grapevine Café has grown considerably in concurrence with the beautiful and surrounding city of South Padre Island, Texas. In many ways, we are still that casual eatery that serves delicious, simple and affordable food. Today, our menu boasts a greater variety of choices. We have added healthier menu items that are vegetarian and gluten free. We also offer a full line of gourmet, freshly ground coffee drinks and teas from our popular espresso bar. We take great pride in serving food that is made in-house, fresh and daily from proprietary, authentic recipes.

try the breakfast taco (5 eggs!)

You can create your own breakfast tacos. Thank goodness the waitress pointed out that there is a smaller option that was still huge. They have a large menu so everyone in your group will find something wonderful. The coffee is great too, not the average café coffee.

Ate breakfast with my family. Thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast tacos, pancakes, waffles and coffee. The food tasted fresh and homemade. The service was customer oriented. Eating at Grapevine made our stay at South Padre much more enjoyable because of the homelike environment. Grapevine is our number one choice for dining out!

We visited SPI during the last week of January, 2015. A getaway from the winter snows back home! We tried a lot of the local eateries in town. Grapevine was the one we liked the most. Gino has daily specials - the meatloaf dinner is really good! Sonya waited on us the first day and we asked for her again... More

I did not like my Huevos rancheros at all. Other than that everything was ok. Service was good. Restaurant was clean. My husband had no complaints about his eggs and bacons. So I am rating it 4 stars since I think the problem was I just picked something they make a little different but I didn't like. It tasted like... More

Never a disappointment in the breakfast or lunch menu and value. Good portions and very good variety of meals either for morning or lunches.

Great mexican food, with really good breakfast/lunch options.. The freshly baked scones were out of the world! The staff was very friendly and the owner took time to customize our vegetarian menu explaining options we had.. Thanks for the great food guys and keep up the good work..

We saw excellent reviews on this restaurant, and the menu made us want to try it out for breakfast. Unfortunately, the cafe does not include in its brochures for on its website the fact that it opens later in the morning during the winter, so we were unable to try it.

My husband and I are great fans of breakfasts out and went here hoping to find it as good as others on Tripadvisor had. Sadly, it was not good food. The staff was very pleasant, but my husband's huevos rancheros were mushy and tasteless and my over easy eggs, homefries and toast were all sub par. The eggs were overdone,... More

Great food no wait time. Had the omelet with veggies and sausage. My gf had the French Toast. Both plates came out hot and delicious. The price is reasonably set and the staff was attentive and friendly. Would come back next time and try the breakfast Tacos
