This place is one of our favorites!! A small and casual cafe with great food and friendly service. Enjoy lunch or dinner while looking out at the beautiful beach of South Padre Island. Reasonable pricing.

This place was fantastic to eat a late breakfast at. My husband and I both devoured our food. We will definitely be going back to try the items on the lunch and dinner menu.

For an island'y vibe, beautiful ocean view, outdoor seating, and a sea-worthy menu, this is the best place on South Padre. It is the first restaurant I recommend to visitors. It is tiny but I have never had to wait to get a table. Everything my wife/family/friends and I have ever ordered has been excellent. I generally favor grilled seafood... More

Lambchop ( my lovely bride of 20+ years ) and I love South Padre. Now that our boys are grown and gone, (does living separately within a mile of our house constitute 'gone'?) we are able to go to South Padre during the 'off' season which in our opinion is the only time to go. It's a totally different experience... More

We really enjoy this place. The location is outstanding given its right by the beach. It's is not too big, which makes it appealing. The food is always good and we haven't been disappointed. Good service and really good drinks. They have good happy hour specials. Laid back and relaxing. The fish tacos are yummy. I recommend the Texas Tini... More

After seeing so many great reviews of this restaurant, we went with great hopes. Unfortunately, we were just a little bit disappointed. We all had versions of fish or shrimp baskets (fried), and it was just so-so. The service was good and our waiter was friendly. The fish was better than the shrimp. We ordered shrimp thinking it would be... More

There homeade potato chips are tasty with the parmesan cheese on them. I had fish, others had burgers, sandwiches, and kids meals. Everyone was pleased with their food.

All four of our groups meals were well cooked and tasty. A little overpriced and service a little spotty. Fun to be able to watch games on well placed TVs as well. Try the fish 3 Way for sure.

Food was great and service too. Ocean view is absolutely wonderful. Unfortunately, when I checked my credit card bill a few days later, we were charged over $200 for a meal of $80 (including tip). Just occurred so still resolving.

We were sorry to see this posting because we have already discussed the situation with this guest and have completely resolved the issue. It was an honest mistake made by one of our employees when she closed out multiple guest checks and put a bottle of Caymus on the wrong guest check. The moment this was brought to our attention,... We usually love The Palms for breakfast, lunch or dinner; however, this time all of us (and we are locals) were disappointed with our food. I ordered a wedge with blue cheese - the wedge was small and not ice cold, the blue cheese was poured on heavily and was obviously store bought; however the blue cheese was good. My... More

Oh dear! Our locals know how much we appreciate their business, so when we disappoint one of them we feel doubly bad! We have discussed each of these concerns with our kitchen staff. The heads of lettuce this time of the year are pitifully small, but that is no excuse. If the head of lettuce is small, we need to... More
