Fresh caught fish right from the Gulf served daily. The baskets are the best - I am a flounder convert! Couldn't eat it all - it was soooo good. Definitely worth the stop, you won't regret it.

Been there several times. It seems when they get rushed, service goes down. If place is not packed service is good. Food is always good. Prices are moderate.

I have been going to Dirty AL's for years and it is always good. The fried shrimp is very good. I crave it after I have left and can't wait to get back again.

I had the fried catfish and my husband had the fried shrimp. Both very good. Loved the seasoning. Good family spot to just hang out. Some of the wall posters and the t-shirts are a little offensive. Might want to consider that if taking young children that can read. Seems to be a very popular local spot though. Service is... More

There's no better place on the Island to get seafood, in terms of both quality and price. My advice is to go with friends and get a botana of everything but the chicken, get some beers and love yourself and your life.

We stopped into Dirty Al's because of the TA reviews our very first night on the Island. Hands down the best fried seafood we have had anywhere on SPI! The shrimp, large, fresh, tasty and perfectly golden. The fish, fresh, fried tender and crispy. Then come their fries....CAUTION... you will eat them all! Crisp golden battered fries served hot &... During a family trip in South Padre Island I was suddenly craving a whole fish. After several phones calls to different restaurants we were able to find the one true seafood establishment that had a whole grilled red snapper. I went to the restaurant to pick it up and it was packed! I knew it was going to be delicious... More

Dirty Al's doesn't offer much in the way of ambiance or atmosphere but it makes up for that with delicious food, especially the shrimp! Fast service and the opportunity to purchase bottles of their wonderful spices. We always eat here at least once on our trips to SPI.

We had dinner here after a dolphin cruise. It is pretty rustic and tables are close together. It's also loud and busy. Not very relaxing as they want to turn tables quickly. The seafood my wife and daughters had was good, but I would advise against ordering the hamburgers. McDonalds has better burgers. There are much better places to eat... More
