This place isn't much to look at. Probably haven't changed the décor since the 50's. But they have great pancakes - don't forget to get them with pecans. I couldn't even eat two they were so big. Good coffee.

The service alone was worth stopping in. The food was cooked to order and was delicious. The famous fajitas and homemade salsa were a favorite.

Went for breakfast during an off season vacation on SPI. Small eatery and only three or four of the tables had customers. My wife had one of the egg selections and I had the pancakes. Both selections were well prepared and were most enjoyable. The service was awful. After we were served we never saw the waitress again. Coffee and... More

This place is close to where we are staying so we walked over for breakfast today. The food was excellent as was the service. Coffee cups were always full, as was the water glass. Pancakes were very good. What it lacks in atmosphere is certainly made up in good food and friendly good service. Will definitely go back.

Ted's Restaurant is a great place to enjoy a nice breakfast when vacationing in South Padre. Good food and reasonable prices along with friendly staff make this a nice choice.

My husband and I have been coming to SPI for 20 years, and we stop at Ted's every single time. We have always been in for breakfast and have never ever been disappointed. The coffee is wonderful, and take your pick of anything on the menu - it's all first rate. We stopped in today for our first lunch, and... More

After reading the reviews on Trip Adviser, my wife and I decided to give it a try. I ordered the Migas and my wife ordered fried eggs with bacon and fried potatoes. Our order came in about 10 minutes, and the food was great, as well as the service. Ted's is a nice little cafe and the prices are very... More

Nice little place that always seemed to have cars parked outside. According to the sign, they only do breakfast and lunch. Had breakfast, eggs, potatoes and a muffin with juice. About $9.00. Food was good, cooked the way I like it.

We ate here for the first time last summer and we were looking forward to returning. Ted’s did not disappoint, we ate here every day of our 5 day vacation. The staff was the same, the food is still delicious and affordable. Our waitress was fantastic. Their fajitas are truly award winning!

We eat here at least one time during our annual visits - I never miss ordering the pecan pancakes and this year I also tried the pecan waffle which was equally delicious - also offer to go orders which is great if you are on the run!
