A greasy spoon type establishment that serves basic dishes and reminds me of a 60s or early 70s type place. The portion size is adequate and the food is tasty. This is not a place to go it you want to be impressed by décor or presentation. If you are hungry and need a meal it is a good choice.

We've been coming to SPI and eating at TED's since the 80's. They would not be in business that long if food and service were not good. We will return. Try the breakfast fajitas.. very good!

A little dive but it is clean delicious and reasonable. They are only open for breakfast and lunch. Great staff and very busy. We will be back next year.

My grandfather use to tell me the best places to eat at are "greasy spoons". Does not have the best decor, or fancy anything. But, the food is generally really good! That statement holds true for Ted's Restaurant. Food was very good, and hot. Prices very good and portions are good size. Will be going back!

Nice little place for breakfast and lunch. Nothing fancy but my wife got a ribeye that was super cheap and tasty. Breakfast was good and staff was friendly. We would go back.

This place isn't much to look at. Probably haven't changed the décor since the 50's. But they have great pancakes - don't forget to get them with pecans. I couldn't even eat two they were so big. Good coffee.

The service alone was worth stopping in. The food was cooked to order and was delicious. The famous fajitas and homemade salsa were a favorite.

Went for breakfast during an off season vacation on SPI. Small eatery and only three or four of the tables had customers. My wife had one of the egg selections and I had the pancakes. Both selections were well prepared and were most enjoyable. The service was awful. After we were served we never saw the waitress again. Coffee and... More

This place is close to where we are staying so we walked over for breakfast today. The food was excellent as was the service. Coffee cups were always full, as was the water glass. Pancakes were very good. What it lacks in atmosphere is certainly made up in good food and friendly good service. Will definitely go back.

Ted's Restaurant is a great place to enjoy a nice breakfast when vacationing in South Padre. Good food and reasonable prices along with friendly staff make this a nice choice.
