Description: Sea Ranch Restaurant has been serving South Padre Island visitors for over 35 years, and has established itself as the island’s premier dining destination. If you haven’t spent an evening at the Sea Ranch Restaurant, you haven’t truly experienced South Padre. Our menu is comprised of local seafood that is caught directly from the Gulf of Mexico, and it changes often based on what is in season. Every item is made with high-quality ingredients, from unbeatably fresh seafood to juicy steaks and hearty pastas. Start your meal off with our Ahi Tuna or Escargot appetizers, or try something a little spicier like our Stuffed Jalapeños. For your main course, pick from one of our countless seafood items including fresh fish, crab legs, shrimp, oysters, lobster and scallops. Our house specialty is the Red Snapper, which has become a customer favorite as well. If you aren’t in the mood for seafood, try one of our delicious grilled steak, chicken or pork dishes. We also have decadent pastas, from chicken or seafood Alfredo to Scott’s Shrimp Scampi served over angel hair pasta. No matter what you are in the mood for, we have a tasty, fresh option for you at Sea Ranch Restaurant.Seafood goes perfectly with wine, so we boast an extensive selection of wines. With over 122 choices ranging from $20 all the way to $500, we have the perfect choice to compliment your meal. If you have an event coming up, consider hosting it at the Sea Ranch. Sea ranch is indeed nice. The staff was friendly and food was nice. Yes it is on the expensive side, but the food is good. We ordered a variety of dishes including shrimps, crabs, red snapped and lobsters and all of them were nice. highly recommend you to go there while you are there in the island.

I always heard about the Sea Ranch from friends that have eaten there before but when it comes to seafood I am very skeptical. First off the atmosphere was soothing making it a more enjoyable experience if you are on a date, business meeting, or looking to have a delicious meal alone and relaxed. The view only heightened the experience... More

We ate at Sea Ranch our first night on SPI. Really liked it. Varied seafood menu, not all fried, with some interesting sauces to choose from. We had flounder and red snapper. Both well prepared -- pan sautéed-- with a good salad, great bread, and a very good wine list by the glass or bottle. A bit pricey, but not... More

Bit overpriced. The steak and shrimp at red lobster is just as good, if not better. The bar staff was friendly, but overpriced as well.

The atmosphere was fancy, but the food was only soso. Nothing bad at all, but there are so many other really outstanding places to eat on the island. Maybe they should have been more concerned about the freshness of the food than the white table cloths...

I assure you that the freshness of our food is our number one concern, and it's always of the utmost freshness! I hope you'll come in again so that we can regain a couple of stars and prove this to you. We work hard on our menu and on every dish we produce, and I'd love another chance to impress... More

The food was good...flounder, heat shrimp, scalloped potatoes, cilantro coleslaw all were very good. The service was good and prices were about normal. We had eaten at the Sea Ranch almost 10 years ago and both recalled a terrible smell right outside of the restrooms. First of all, when you walk into the restaurant, they have a fresh seafood display... More

The calamari appetizer was very good, cooked well. The seafood enchilada was okay, had a very soggy breading. The sea scallops were okay, not very big, 3 scallops on a pretzel skewer, total of nine scallops. The onion blossom was good, the dip was just ranch dressing, so not mouth watering dip. The seafood medley (dan's pirate, not sure of... More

While I'm very happy to hear that you liked our food, I wish you'd had a better overall experience, Rachel. We work hard to deliver the freshest seafood and to prepare it perfectly, and I'll be sure to share your feedback about the founder and the enchilada with the kitchen. I know we can do better, and I hope you'll... More

I should have paid attention to another review. The skipper dan entree was flounder shrimp and scallops. The fish was so thin you could not tell what it was. The shrimp were so small it's a good thing they left the tails on to make them look better. Scallops forget about it. The best thing was the lobster bisque and... More

We arrived early and chose to eat at the bar area and was seated by the window overlooking the bay where it was very nice to see the comings and goings of the evening as the sun starts to descend. The Bacon wrapped Shrimp were crunchy and fried to perfection. The colossal stuffed Jalepenos were very big and a meal... More

Everything about our meal was outstanding!! If you get a chance, order the whole snapper!! I had mine blackened and it was amazing. Enough to share and very reasonably priced. Watch for the little bones. Best restaurant on the island.
