I liked the bbq but there were times that we were the only restaurant patrons there. Not sure why it did not thrive probably it was a little too expensive for the market.

Just logged in to write my review and I see it's closed now. That's too bad. BBQ was pretty good. Sides were a little different but had a home cooked taste. Beer was pretty good. Fairly comparable to SPI Brewing co. I would have gone back.

We arrived in S. Padre Island yesterday. Today, on our way to lunch, we discovered it was no longer in business. A real shame. It opened last year and was a strong favorite of ours.

Food was ok. home brew was very good. Service was somewhat rude and unattentive. But the biggest thing was....we went in early afternoon to get a menu and decided to eat there for dinner. When we arrived (same day) the menu was comlpletely differnt (printed on plain paper) and we said we wanted some bbq........our answer?? "uhhhhh there IS no... More

Modestly priced place with good handmade food. Reasonable service and most items were well under $10. No kids meal but you could get a hot dog or corn dog with fries for $3.50. They were out of ribs when we went but may go back for them before the vacation is over.

I would not recommend this place for the bbq. But they did have a pretty energetic bar and the beer was good. If you're looking for home style bbq, skip this place. If you want a nice place to sit and drink a few cold ones, absolutely!

We decided to stop at Tejas Brewpub on our first night on the island. It was so good that we actually went back a second time that week. We have never done that while on vacation during a one week stay. It was THAT good! On the first visit, one of us had nachos and the other two had the... More

Tejas does not appreciate their valued customers and defiantly do not leave their personal problems at the door. Bartenders can be seen drinking on the job with horrible attitudes. Will never give them a try or my business again, trust me have a drink somewhere else

Pleasant service, awesome ribs, pulled pork and French fries. It's great to find a place where kids will actually eat the food. Taxi Dog Ale was greatly appreciated by a beer lover, and the Palezner was palatable to a someone who doesn't drink a bunch of beer. Overall, it was a good experience.

This was my first time in South P. With my two girls (both under 5) and Husband and we were clueless on where to eat. We wanted a family friendly place, but also a restaurant that served beer. We found it! This place is awesome! Very friendly staff, the beer they make there is fresh and refreshing. A great experience... More
