This is our favorite seafood restaurant on the Island and we have recommended to our friends. The owner personally visited our table and checked in with us if everything was okay. It was! I had shrimp salad iChat had so many small cajun spiced shrimp, I couldn't finish! My husband had fried oysters which were large, juicy and plentiful.

Very simple. I heard the food was good and the prices were cheap. We paid a total of $28 dollars for two meals. Yes that's 2 meals. When we asked for chips and salsa we assumed they had just forgot to bring them to us in the first place. well apparently that's an up-charge. The salsa that came with the... More

Self service sit in, the waitress took forever to bring us our appetizer and never refilled our drinks until I had to get up and ask her for a refill. The food was okay, nothing a person couldn't make at home. When we got the check, we were surprised to get a 15% service fee. Drinks which were Dr.Pepper were... More

This place is awesome! I have been going every summer for 20 years and we always hit Cap'n Roy's at least twice! The enchilada's are delish and the fish taco's are out of this world!

Enough said. Too bad trip advisor requires 50 characters. The drive through is convenient but call ahead.

We had a group of 14 for dinner and were easily accommodated. The service was fast and friendly. Everyone enjoyed their dinner. We ordered from Mexican to seafood to a club sandwich. Everything was delicious. Reasonable prices too!

Doesn't look like much, but this small restaurant has tasty food at reasonable prices. I really enjoyed the blackened fish tacos and my family enjoyed their dinners (crab stuffed shrimp, chicken quesadillas and burger/fries). The atmosphere is nothing special, but our server was friendly and fast. My teenage son summed it up as we left the reastaurant when he said... More

My husband, five year old daughter and I ate here our first night in South Padre. We loved everything. Shrimp Veracruz was excellent, a specialty they have shrimp wrapped in bacon was amazing, lastly the chicken fried chicken was a real treat. We cleaned all our plates and would return. We later learned they have a drive through which would... More

We were surpised at how excellent the food was. They have this special signature salad futi I think they call it wonderful. The restaurant is laid back, casual but really really good.

Enjoyed the food & restaurant! Small restaurant and a little cramped, but friendly staff, and our waitress checked back often. We loved the chips & salsa - not salsa out of a jar - yummy! Ordered the camarones diabloitas which are shrimp with bacon, jalapeño, pineapple, and cream cheese - wonderful! Served with a side salad that is kind of... More
