Good Choice on the Island

Palm Street Pier is a very good restaurant with a great view of the sunset and Laguna Madre. The blue cheese bacon burger is a good choice, although the Jack Daniels shrimp is probably the best thing on the menu. It's not fancy and from what I remember, they have a very limited beer selection. But... read more

I was not impressed with the food and that was a disappointment because the scenery was nice on the waterfront. The menu said 'plump' oysters. I say 'no way'!!! The oysters were no bigger than a quarter and were super salty. The potato salad was just alright. On a good note, my boyfriend ordered the shrimp scampi over pasta and... More

While in South Padre last winter I ate at the palm street pier 3 times and every time I ordered shrimp and it was great no matter how it was served. The outside deck is on the water and a great spot to watch the sunset. All meals were reasonably priced and the staff was great. Most evenings there is... More

This is one of the best bar and grill on the island. Food is great and atmosphere is awesome. I recommend the peel and eat shrimp. You sit right on the water perfect for sunsets.

The atmosphere is great...the true island feel. The servers are friendly and efficient. This past season, we were able to spot dolphins playing in the gulf almost every visit to this terrific bar. Happy Hour offers great margaritas and last almost all day long. A 'must' for any new visitor to the island. Try their awesome fried oysters....my personal favorite.

Okay.... Got the 1/2 order of nachos, shrimp tacos, tilapia, grilled chicken sandwich and shrimp skewers. A few beers also. Chicken was voted as really good by my non seafood eater. Shrimp skewers was really fresh by my youngest and my wife enjoyed the tilapia. My tacos were great. Nachos were huge! Almost too much food to eat ice cream... More

You would think a waterfront restaurant with a choice view of the bay would at least try to be as pleasant as the view. There are so many things wrong I don't know where to start. First, they don't have a parking lot. At least not much of one. Somehow they have lost the privilege to park in the lot... More

Wow! What a surprise. We went to this bar/restaurant on Valentine's night. I wasn't sure about the food before ordering. But, when I got my food I couldn't believe the quality. I had grilled chicken salad. It was so fresh and the chicken was cooked to perfection. The vegetables were very high quality. My mom had order grilled fish and... More

Went here to listen To Leslie Blasing sing. She does a large variety of music and is so darn good! We shared some cocktail shrimp which were good. This place is in dire need of a makeover; I won't even comment about the bathrooms. Great people hang out here; felt like a lot of Midwestern people. Good times.
