We had lunch there before we visited the Sonora Caverns and it was excellent. The one thing to be aware is that they are only open till 2pm and lucky for us the tour guide at the caverns let us know because we were planning to tour the caverns first then eat. I would have been sad to miss this... More

I've heard about this restaurant for a couple of years and never could remember to visit. Only 20 miles away, my friend and I took a road trip Thursday and were amazed that this beautiful place was within our area. The next day I took my son and husband. Everyone was pleasantly satisfied with their meal and experience.

On our way down I-10, we stopped in for lunch on a Thursday around 12:30. The lady who greeted us said we could seat ourselves. The dining area was about 3/4 full. We sat at an empty table and waited, and waited and waited. No menus, no glass of water, no one came by to say "be with you in... More

We decided to drive the 60 miles to Sonora for lunch. Trip Advisor indicated this could be worth a try. We were especially pleased with the waitress who suggested we split the daily special because it would be more than my wife could eat. An excellent suggestion and paired with a side we had a very tasty lunch. The atmosphere... More

And the locals here seem to be pretty pleased to have a place like this for lunch. The food and service were excellent, the people friendly and talkative. The menu is not terribly extensive, but apparently varies daily, depending on what is fresh and available. We had the cheesecake for dessert (I had the home-made chocolate sauce on mine) -... More

On vacation with family and decided to eat only at local establishments. Found this lunch cafe on tripadvisor. Fantastic sandwiches - especially the reuben. Fantastic breads.

Found it on "Yelp" at a rest stop between Ozona and Sonora. I like to find local fair when I'm traveling. It had good reviews so I took a chance. Neat place in an old building in historic downtown. It was quite busy when I pulled up, a good sign. I was seated quickly and the waitress was very warm... More

This was interesting because the last review was less than two weeks from when we drove by. When we found the restaurant on Monday, August 12, there were for lease/sale signs in the windows. What a disappointment after reading the reviews.

I am so sorry for your disappointment! We happen to be closed this day for a unexpected family emergency. The For Sale sign is for the building and the shop downstairs. We are still OPEN and busy in the kitchen Monday - Friday 11-2p! Please stop by again next time you are passing through, we'd love to serve you! More

Good sandwich menu. We had the Hobbit (turkey, cheddar, avocado) & the Hog (ham, swiss) and both were very good. Several people ate lunch special, chicken picatta, which sold out before we left. Great old building just across from the old courthouse lined with interesting historical signs. 2 sandwiches with sides + iced tea for $22 + tip = worth... More
