My wife and I were on a road trip through the Hill Country today and was looking for a resturant our niece worked at in Smithville. We were told the name and could not find it anywhere. We stopped at a local visitors center to ask for directions. It was closed, but we ran into Troy the owner of Pockets.... More

On two occassions in the past month my wife, Jan, has brought me home the other half of a Chicken Salad Sandwich that she could not finish. Excellent taste and bountiful portion. This past Sunday I also got a container of Potato Soup which was super. Keep it up. Thanks.

Wow...what a disappointment. We heard great things about this restaurant but couldn't have been more disappointed. When we arrived, the restaurant was not busy. We stood at the front counter for several minutes before being waited on. When an employee finally arrived, she answered the phone without even acknowledging us. (Typically I would have left at this point, but we... More

One of the most bland nasty meals that I have ever eaten. It was overpriced, too. I am always disappointed eating here so much that I have decided not to eat there anymore.

Very clean, great food and menu selection. Had the BBQ tacos and BBQ pizza. The price was very reasonable and the atmosphere was really great. Loved it!

This charming Smithville restaurant has several of the signs of businesses from Hope Floats. Good burgers, but try out the Southwest Egg Rolls...

I'm a local. It's convenient and social, but it's not delicious. Best burgers are at Jax Hut in Bastrop.

We went to Pocket's Grill on our way to La Grange. It was very good. The hamburgers were very big, and they were nicely flavored. Also, the fries were great!! I would recommend this place to anyone- it is reasonably priced, has great food, and has a great atmosphere.

I love Pockets and generally go there at least once a month. My biggest problem is deciding if I am going to order something different from my regular picks like the Taco salad or the huge quesadillia with an order of sweet potato fries and fire bites (fired jalepeno slices). I might add the portions are HUGE so bring a... More
