Nice that it's open until 6 pm. Stopped on our way to Lubbock. Good cookie selection. Best are thumbprints, vanilla wafer and gingersnaps. Also liked the chocolate bears.

Even after a very filling breakfast @ The Harvey House, we still managed to stuff our faces with the many tasty offerings . Picked up a nice local Church cookbook as well. Worth the stop.

While my wife makes weekly visits for cookies and thumbprints I usually enjoy the cakes. The down home and friendliness of the staff make every trip fun. In addition they have all manner of gifts and such. If you are a sweets fan, there is something to appeal to every taste.

Slaton Bakery is well know in Texas. Their packaged vanilla wafers and gingersnaps are carried in several grocery stores throughout the state. We stopped here for breakfast on a road trip from New Mexico to Austin. We had sausage kolaches and coffee and went back for a small cinnamon roll. Yummy! I bought a package of vanilla wafers to take... More

The staff acted like I was a burden being there. I was not even acknowledged. When I finally was waited on it was with attitude and eye rolling. If you use a debit/credit card the minimum is 10 dollars. I'd never been there before so I didn't know the amount of items as they were not visible to the customer.... More

Even though I had just eaten breakfast, I couldn't help trying a wide selection of the delicious pastries and donuts. Everything I tried was very good, and I even picked up some cookies for later in the day. The pies looked wonderful.

Slaton Bakery has the best cakes and pie anywhere! They are located in the downtown area of Slaton, TX. Their prices are reasonable. Love their Red Velvet Cake.

This bakery is clean, friendly staff, great selection of cookies, donuts, pies and sausage kolaches. We got the maple bar and I have to say it was so yummy!! Pastry was light and maple was a good flavor, they even have them with chipped bacon on top if u like! The thumb print cookies are good too. We were in... More
