The staff acted like I was a burden being there. I was not even acknowledged. When I finally was waited on it was with attitude and eye rolling. If you use a debit/credit card the minimum is 10 dollars. I'd never been there before so I didn't know the amount of items as they were not visible to the customer.... More

Even though I had just eaten breakfast, I couldn't help trying a wide selection of the delicious pastries and donuts. Everything I tried was very good, and I even picked up some cookies for later in the day. The pies looked wonderful.

Slaton Bakery has the best cakes and pie anywhere! They are located in the downtown area of Slaton, TX. Their prices are reasonable. Love their Red Velvet Cake.

This bakery is clean, friendly staff, great selection of cookies, donuts, pies and sausage kolaches. We got the maple bar and I have to say it was so yummy!! Pastry was light and maple was a good flavor, they even have them with chipped bacon on top if u like! The thumb print cookies are good too. We were in... More

Unlike many business routes through towns this one zips you right in and out, but be sure to stop downtown at this little bakery. I was surprised that a mid afternoon stop found them with their shelves full and a brisk business going. Lots of goodies to choose from. We took a cookie sampler for the road. All good but... More

They are now closed on Sundays. The pies are wonderful and many selections to pick from. Although friends suggested the tortillas, they are machine made, not hand-made.

Not only is this the best bakery within 100 miles - thumbprint cookies and vanilla wafers are my favorites - it's a great little sandwich shop. Worth a 50 round trip from Lubbock.

On our way home from a trip to the Grand Canyon, we decided to stop at the Slaton Bakery and check it out. It was a good decision! The variety of baked good was wonderful and the food melts in your mouth. The Slaton Bakery is a rare gem in the Texas panhandle.

The Slaton Bakery is a wonderful family owned bakery that has some of the best baked goods anywhere. Located in the town square of Slaton the bakery is a wonderful stop for people traveling on Highway 84 just south east of Lubbock. We always stop for a breakfast snack and usually eat in the dining area in the back where... More
