Italian Cafe is the bomb! They make their own Italian sausage and meatballs and they are just like Maw Maw's. Lots of other great items on the menu, too, though I would stay away from the veal. My favorite is spaghetti and meatballs with a side of Italian sausage. BYOB makes it even more affordable. Small corkage fee. I'm Italian... More

Horrible, horrible service. We took some friends and got the worst service I have ever had. Hostess kept trying to seat the people that came in after us instead of taking us. Waitress brought only one plate of food to our friends, after we had waited quite a long time, saying she thought they were going to split the plat... More

The restaurant allows you to bring your own wine, When you enter you grab a menu, make your selection and seat yourself. Friday evening is usually busy, with lots of locals, family and friends. I like their selections, never had a bad meal there. Huge lasagna portions ( consider splitting with a salad). My granddaughter loves their spaghetti and meat... More

I had been here once with girlfriends, so my husband and I and another couple decided to try it for dinner. We brought our own wine over from Spec's down the street and "rented" the restaurant's corkscrew for $2.50 a bottle. We're okay with the "order at the counter, help yourself to silverware and drinks" deal at the Cafe. But... More

For a traveling family, we thought it was great. 2 kids meals, wife and I split a meal, and we had dessert. It was more than we could eat and we spent less than $40. I'm suprised by the other reviews because we thought it was one of the better meals we had on our trip. Food was great and... More

This restaurant is a real restaurant. Fresh vegetables and desserts made in an open kitchen.

Google The Italian Cafe and notice the stuff under "Lunch Menu".... You will find "$35 charge on returned checks" and "$2.50 corkage fee"..... I stopped there for lunch and noticed a couple at a table, and no one else... should of been a clue After I ordered my food at the counter (like taco bell) and paid the tab I... More

Went here yesterday ---- and wow --- it's not the same as it used to be. One of our guests asked to have veggies instead of fries - he got fries. My chicken was dry and over cooked. When we asked for some, what seemed to us to be, easy subsitutions - the hostess behind the counter said "no". And... More

First we have been going to this restaurant for many years but no more. Maybe it is because we were the occasional patron that we see their demise so clearly. In the past we have enjoyed this place because their food was good and due to no liquor license, you are encouraged to bring your own wine. So when we... More
