Great Breakfast Spot Between San Antonio and Houston!

If you are ever driving along I-10 between San Antonio and Houston, there's a stretch where your options for dining are limited to fast food -- even MORE limited if you're looking for a hearty breakfast. Frank's Restaurant to the rescue! The waitresses are friendly and the food is good. They... read more

Haven't been here in awhile, and was disappointed in the meal. The restaurant is unusual because it is a bit of a step back in time, with the feel of an old country club. Had a hamburger and chick strips and they were average at best. I'm sorry to say that many restaurant chains offer better food. I wanted to... More

Our place of choice for lunch between Dallas and Port Aransas via 77. The food is exceptional for a roadside place, and the people are always smiling and welcoming. We loved being there again.

Good service but the place needs some updating. The food is a little on the "greasy spoon" side, but for the options available on a Sunday in a small town, it sufficed and we were happy to find it.

Since my name is "Frank", I owed it to myself to have breakfast at Frank's before getting back on the road. We had pancakes, omelets, with bacon and hashbrowns; enjoyed it tremendously and left satisfied! Highly recommended! (plus, I got me a "Frank's" cap on the way out!)

Its as simple as that...the food at Frank's is simply just good food...the kind of food that makes things right. :) We were headed to Houston one Saturday morning and we just knew we were gonna stop at Frank's. We hadn't been there in many years. Had a simple breakfast. And no longer did we feel rushed but relaxed and... More

I've been travelling between San Antonio for over 30 years. I've always made it a point to stop at Franks as it was the perfect midway stop. The food and service were always excellent, My wife and I went to Houston on the 2nd of June and then drove to San Antonio. Of course we stopped at Franks. It was... More

We pass through Schulenburg often and have eaten at Frank's once before and the food was okay. This trip the food I had, spinach, corn bread and hamburger steak with gravy was really bad. These are real simple foods for anyone to cook and get right. I will not go back. My wife had her usual fried chicken and it... More
