I travel I-10 a lot and this has always been a regular breakfast stop. It's got a '50s diner feel without gimmicks because that's likely that last time it was updated. Priced are reasonable and I've always found the service to be fine. They have a curiosity shop where they sell baked goods and Texas themed " stuff", sort of... More

Excellent breakfast. Homeade bread for toast, hash browns, eggs, biscuits and gravy, bacon. All were delicious. The waitress was super nice. Glad we took the time to sit down for breakfast. It was worth the time.

The food was OK, I had breakfast and that's hard to mess up. My friend had fried chicken and with all the nice bread they make, they served her salad with saltines and butter, Bread and butter would have been better. I also had to order toast to go with my eggs. The food was good, filling and prompt.

Both my husband and I were disappointed in chicken fried steaks we ordered for lunch. It was definitely not steak, but rather like a breaded processed "steak" from the frozen food section. The gravy tasted prepackaged, also. Ugg! Not the Frank's we rembered. Will not eat there again.

Franks is an excellent choice when traveling between San Antonio and Houston for breakfast, lunch or dinner. They have daily specials and the food is quite good. The servers are polite and the dining room is clean. They make everything from scratch as ordered so service can sometimes be a little slow. It's a nice alternative to the Oakridge... We... More

we stopped here for breakfast. The service was surprisingly slow considering how few of customers were there. The food was average and well priced. I'm guessing that their primary focus is on the locals and us passer through people gets whatever is left over.

The home cooked meals were great! The burgers and onion rings were pricey, but you should eat home cooked meals at a country restaurant. The Mexican meal was great, as well as, all the chicken meals. I had the roast beef and parsley potatoes. Awesome!! My mom had the fish and it was good. I would definitely stop there again.

Broad menu selection, but we went for the burgers based on a friends recommendation. Burger, fries, and onion rings were good, but the bill for the two of us pushed $25. Probably will seek an alternative next time I am in Schulenburg.

We stopped there on the way to a high school football game. They were not many cars in the parking lot and the restaurant was not very full, kinda worried since it was a Friday night. We were in a bit of a rush, ordered loaded baked potato and husband got the chicken tenders. I felt the menu was rather... More

I've heard people rave about Frank's so the family and I finally decided to try it out. We went late on a Saturday evening. There was plenty of room and it wasn't crowded. The fried catfish was good, which isn't always easy with catfish. My son devoured his chicken fried steak and our youngest loved the popcorn shrimp from the... More
