Ate breakfast. Menu was limited. Very good omlettes, but the biscuits were a little over cooked or stale. Service was not the greatest, but OK. Staff was very polite. Reasonable prices. Would eat there again. Not many choices in town, or i was not in the main part.

It has a good steak and meal, nice atmosphere. Country store has a good amount of items, especially children's toys.

We have passed this place so many times while going west from Houston on I-10 without ever trying it. Our relatives in San Antonio told us that they always stop here so we finally did try it. Our waitress was very attentive. As another reviewer stated, the water tasted funny so we asked for lemons. The burger was nothing special,... More

I happened by Frank's Restaurant by accident while on a trip from San Antonio to Houston. It is in the cute old town of Schulenburg. Apparently, has been around for 80+ years. Located just off 1-10 and Hwy 77. They serve what I call classic American roadside diner type food. While perhaps not high gourmet cuisine, it is good old... More

Great daily lunches and wonderful creme pies. This is our lunch stop on our San Antonio trips. Friendly service too.

Frank's is right off the exit, so very easy to get in and out of. We have been going there for many many years, every time we go between Houston and San Antonio. It is about half way. The daily specials are especially reasonable and no one leaves Frank's hungry. Fried chicken, chicken fried steak, meat loaf and various German... More

Unfortunately I chose to pass up a familiar restaurant just to try out Frank's in Schulenburg. I brought in my 4 grandchildren and a 90 year old friend. When we sat down the waitress (Kayla) never smiled nor greeted us. She just asked how many were eating and provided the worst tasting water I've ever had. I couldn't believe how... More

Their menu is typical texas grub which is prepared well and is good comfort food. Good place to stop along I10 for a meal and break. Staff is friendly and provide good service.

Unless you have two grouchy and starving children at 5:30 who just want food, keep on moving down the road. There were flies and everything we ate was terrible. We had salad, fried chicken, chicken tenders, mashed potatoes, and green beans. Staff was ok. My kids ate. Mission accomplished, but I think I'll have to go to Rudy's when I... More
