This is a local favorite, our family member told us they have more than 100 different beers, plus t more beer is sold here than any other location in San Marcos, i.e. a very popular spot. The service was quick and good. The burgers fabulous, not so keen on the French fries and thick and not crisp but overall everyone... More

From Houston, wanted a quick, inexpensive and tasty burger near Texas State Uni. Guacamole and queso burger didn't disappoint. To-go service was quick.

I was traveling on business and wanted a quick meal. I ordered an appetizer and a salad with chicken, as their menu items weren't all available. The food was pretty marginal but the atmosphere was energetic, and there were TV's with football for the sports enthusiast. I would totally recommend for a game night with friends and beer, but probably... More

A friend recommended the Tap Room, but said the service usually stinks. We went in with the expectation of a good burger and slow service. We had GREAT service. Our waitress was flawless! The burgers were good too!

Always try to stop by when in San Marcos- great selection of beers on tap- burgers, fries, and ribs are all good choices off the menu.

Looking over a restaurant list supplied by my motel, I decided to try The Tap Room. Interesting set up. A bar with many bottled choices up front, and a different bar with food and probably a hundred tap beer choices in the back! Separated by a hallway. Both in old downtown San Marcos. Brought a couple along the second night,... More

Walk into the Tap Room and it's a neat place for lunch. The weather in San Marcos is a bit on the cool side for a mid July day in Central Texas. We sit down and the place is freezing cold. I mean not just a little cold but freezing cold. I look around and people have their hands between... More

We stopped in here after church one Sunday for lunch and a brew. The place was packed with college kids, which is normal since it is in a college town. The selections of tap beers was great. We were especially interested in the beer blends--mixing two beers together. Although we didn't try any, we will the next time we visit.... More

We basically just picked a random bar to go into when we were in san Marcos a few weeks ago. It was about to rain and we wanted to see the Monaco F1 Race. We came in and sat at the bar and was immediately approached by a very happy and friendly bartender named Brandon. Brandon makes the place in... More

This is the place to go for Great Beer in the area. Travis really knows his stuff, and is quite friendly and approachable. Wish we hadn't just eaten, the food looked and smelled great too.
