I am a bit timid when it comes to new (to me) food; we had dinner here for the second time in a month and were pleased with our meals. The waiter seemed to recognize us and all of the staff waited on all the tables. Timid me had the cashew chicken and egg rolls. Both were delicious and veggies... More

This is the better of the 2 Thai places in San Marcos. The decor is elegant and they allow BYOB which is nice. The fried spring rolls and the stemmed wontons are delicious and delicate. The green curry is not over powering and they bring additional curry spice to the table id you want to spice it up even more.... More

First I need to specify that my wife and I eat Thai cuisine very often and have visited Thai restaurants all over Texas. We chose this restaurant based on the numerous good reviews posted on Trip Advisor. We started the meal with Thai tea and fresh spring rolls. The tea was (to my taste) as good or better than I... We decided to stop in San Marcos on our way back to Austin from Gruene and cycle along one of the trails. Prik Nam Pla was just around the corner from Purgatory Creek Park where we rode our bikes. San Marcos is not very big, so we thought this was a great unexpected find. It was scorching outside, and it... More

I have been on a search for some good asian cuisine in San Marcos, and Prik Nam Pla is #1 by far. I have been to Thailand and no other restaurant comes closer to authentic Pad Thai than Prik Nam Pla, at least in San Marcos. Their food tastes fresh and is prepared with TLC, portion sizes are perfect, they... More

Tried this restaurant for the first time and wasn't too impressed. The meal started off well with the fried spring rolls. They were crispy and tasty. I ordered the red curry and when it was served I noticed a hair in it. I sent it back and was quickly served a second one. I found a hair in this one... More

the food here was very tasty, i won't lie about that. But I went here for a nice birthday lunch with my mother from out of town and we ordered the curry. When we received our dishes we noticed immediately that there was a hair in my mom's curry. So we asked for a second plate, second plate comes and... More

I’d been wanting to “Thai one on” for a while and hit up Trip Advisor for some suggestions. This place was listed as the number one dining experience in the heart of Tex-Mex country so I was dubious. I needn’t have worried! My husband and I enjoyed spring rolls and egg drop and hot and sour soups for starters. The... More
