Bring cash

Possibly the best oysters on the face of the planet. Smoked ones were outstanding!!! But bring cash, and it's not cheap.........

The best oysters I have had in the Houston area. The meat filled the shell, were off the boat fresh and the atmosphere was old school comfortable. In the class with Felixs or Acmes in N.O. and a great price. Extensive menus and variety. Well worth the drive.

The hush puppies were great too. The beers were cold, although a limited selection if you want something other than lite; offering a stout would be my... More

I drove from clear lake to try this place on a Saturday afternoon with my girlfriend. We were going to sit outside but the tables were dirty and had mildew or mold all over them. So we went inside. Both of our chairs had crumbs all over them and the table wasn't very clean either. I asked the waitress about... More

Gilhooley's is a little out of the way but worth a trip. Go early or on an off day as it does get crowded. The ambience is great. Decore is fun to look at. The food was good but not noteworthy. That being said I did not try their fresh oysters which is their specialty. The fired ones were big... More
