Good BBQ

A friend recommended this restaurant. I was in town on business, so by myself. I ordered the brisket, and it came with white bean soup, coleslaw, potato salad and Texas toast - all the traditional fixins. I hadn't had Texas BBQ in a while, and it was very good. The atmosphere is very Texas - lots... read more

I dined for the first and last time at this restaurant this week. The level of noise from the constant scraping of chair legs on the concrete floor made this dining experience a miserable one. The noise is unbearable, and was made even worse by individuals sitting nearby who were deliberately scraping the chairs across the floor in an obvious... More

WE were stuck in Harlingen , TX and asked for suggestion on supper. WE went to find and they did not have steaks til 5pm. They only served on Fri, Sat & Sun after 5. Lucky we got there shortly after 5 because it filled fast and many people waiting. We sat down and they first brought us a mug... More

Stopped in for supper, with a party of six, and everything, but my steak, was considered by our group to be top notch. The bean soup offered as soon as your seated, was tasty, and was offered several more times before our meals arrived. Our group ordered the Brisket/Rib combo, the full, and half rack, baby back ribs, the Salmon,... More

We drove 45 mins to get to this restaurant to try the steak and ribs. The 1/2 rack of ribs came with coleslaw and potato salad. The potato salad was mustardy and the coleslaw was nice and crunchy. The ribs were tender but did not have Bbq sauce on them or with them. Our server later brought a small dish... More

Went here on a Friday night around 7:00 and the place was packed. They send us back to the lower 40 seating area and we were seated right away. We were given a cup of bean soup almost as soon as we were seated and it was very good. 2 of the folks in our group ordered the stuffed baked... More

Stopped by The Longhorn Cattle Company yesterday with a friend for lunch. The parking lot was packed but we were seated immediately. It is a big restaurant once you are inside. Service was prompt efficient and friendly. The food was delicious. We both had the poor Boy sandwiches and coupled with the pinto beans it was filling and satisfying. We... More

The pinto beans are delicious and are given to you at the beginning along with drink. There are many options to choose from from brisket to steak. The brisket had a great flavor and wasn't dry.

BBQ is a mysterious art form with secrets held like gold. This place is big! When I first saw how big, I thought hmmm lot of seats for a BBQ joint maybe it'll be good or not. But the sweet aroma of Mesquite held a hint of good eats. First thing they bring you is pinto bean soup.. Delicious and... More
